Former Stratford official says mayor was aware of threat

STRATFORD — The former fire chief claims officials warned Mayor James R. Miron about propane tanks left behind on Long Beach West before a March fire at the abandoned cottages posed an explosive threat to firefighters battling the blaze.
Mayor James R. Miron, however, adamantly denies the charge, and contends the allegation is payback by former Chief John J. Cybart, who resigned just before he faced termination earlier this year.
Soon to explode:
A lawsuit filed against Mayor Moron, the police chief, Popik, Mark Meola, Cratty and our personal favorite, Joe Loschiavo.

There has got to be a democrat in this town that will primary Moron….
Walgreens sells propane.
Many other companies sell propane.
I know they are probably for Grills.
I know there might be a difference between Grills
and Propane to heat a home or for cooking.
I know there are regulations.
However, couldn’t these tanks have the propane let out
by turning the nozzle?
I know there are probable regulations and concerns about
toxins or polluting the air.
However, RAYMARK has been closed since about 1983.
I think they opened about 1920.

If Jeze want Miron out, have your PET WEIZEL cover me and the
issues I raise, so that people will know the real mess instead of
the stories only benefiting a few police and fire dept people.
If there was danger from the Propane Tanks – that has merit.
However, I believe this is another molehill mountain only for the
benefit of a few people, where the issues are pretextual.

The other day I lost SUDDS vote, because I warned him the Stock
Market is overdue to drop dramatically and I added jokes about
Lawyers and Politicians.
Today I will lose Jeze’s semi endorsement because I have been calling
out Weizel, who has been make FRED look like a real pro, with each
passing day.
I guess I would make a lousy politician?
1 – I tell the truth, as I believe it.
2 – I don’t want any donations.
3 – I use my own money and resources.
4 – I actually care about people, including opponents.
5. I try to raise and cause discussions about real issues.
If the politicians and lawyers did that, then maybe we would see
and hear a real BOOM?
As far as having a REAL DEMOCRAT to primary Miron, we sure have
enough JACKA—s in town.
I guess they are all “in harness?”

Not that I am an expert on propane tanks, although I am really good at marinating whatever will go on a propane grill.
My guess is that if you leave propane tanks out in the elements for 10 years or so and then burn the buildings next to them, they might cause a problem for firefighters. Especially ones that weigh 400 lbs. (That’s even bigger than you, George.)

I think Weizel will be busy obtaining copies of the lawsuit against Miron et al and getting statements the next couple of days.

We hope that Mayor Moron didn’t use the Town’s credit card at Mohegan Sun today.
He was there with a date. Wait for it….Kent Miller.
