More Lakeview Monument

I’m getting to really like this paper.

County Fair: The Week in Miron

By FCW Editorial

As proof that a hotter plate is never a day away from the feet of the Miron family, Attorney General Richard Blumenthal has sued the Lakeview Monument Company, and its owner, Richard Miron, for accepting about $50,000 from at least 80 consumers without providing promised headstones or other services.

As we have recounted numerous times, Miron allegedly accepted cash from customers looking to have headstones delivered to family plots but he failed to follow through, leaving dozens and dozens of residents without headstones for their dearly departed love ones.

To recap: Miron is Stratford’s Democrat registrar of voters, and is the father of the town’s gun-totin’ mayor James Miron; he’s also the father of wannabe-cop-with-a-troubling-psychological-profile (leaked to the media and city officials) Christian Miron and accused steakhouse embezzler Brooke Miron (quite a Thanksgiving table).

Blumenthal filed suit on behalf of Department of Consumer Protection and is demanding Miron pay restitution to the customers as well as fines of up to $5,000 per violation under the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act. Miron’s attorney, Ellery Plotkin, could not be reached for comment despite numerous attempts to reach him.

According to a release issued by Blumenthal, Lakeview closed in September 2007 but said as early as spring 2007 “the company knew it could not fulfill orders, but continued accepting deposits or full payments for headstones and other work.”

“The company failed to keep its commitments, leaving families who lost loved ones without money or memorials,” says Blumenthal. “Even after Lakeview was on its deathbed its suppliers refusing to do business, the company inexplicably, irresponsibly and illegally continued to take payment for work it could not complete… I will fight for money back to consumers, restitution for memorials and service never provided, as well as stiff, strong fines.”

It sure seems like that paper loves to report on the Mirons. I find it refreshing.

Boy the Editorial read very bad if you are a Miron Supporter.

    Interesting name of Miron’s Attorney
El lery, OR is it “EL” LEERY?”
Plotkin, OR is it “PLOT” “KIN?”

The KIN of the PLOT owners are suing the PLOT Pirate?
    New nicknames?
    How about DEAD BEAT DICK?

    Freedom,

    Not quite.

It is becoming apparent that the lawsuit initiated by Blumenthal is meaningless in terms of recovering the victim’s funds. Once Dick Miron declares personal bankruptcy it is “game over”. Again, you can’t get blood from a stone (you can’t even get a stone from Dick). And it appears that Miron’s attorney, Ellery Plotkin, is a specialist in bankruptcies. So what is accomplished by this civil lawsuit? It gives Blumenthal the political cover he needs by “doing” something about a Miron. It is no remedy for the victims and no penalty for Miron.

On the other hand, the State Attorney can do something. Fraud, Larceny and Embezzlement are felony crimes in this State. While the State Attorney is poking around the Stratford Police Department looking for a possible crime in personnel procedures at the request of James R. Miron, there is real criminal in the Registrar of Voters office.

  6. 6 savestratford

Did anyone else see the article in the Hartford paper about how a study at UConn proved that there are a lot of dead voters still registered to vote and that some are still voting? I think Stratford has the 10th most in the state with 214 dead voters. Do you think that has anything to do with Dick Miron? The article didn’t say if any of the dead voters have actually voted. If they did, you can guess who they voted for (and who probably was suppose to make their headstone).

    http://www.courant.com/news/local/hc-deadvoters0420.artapr20,0,4477352.story?page=1

  7. 7 freedomofspeach

Not surprised. Look who handles the records. Wonder what their party affiliations are? What is strange in the mix is that Stratford (the only town I think) is right up there with the largest cities in the state, where due to the volume of registered voters in those cities might create such an problem. Face it; New Britain has less dead voters on the rolls then Stratford, and Stratford’s right up there with Norwalk and East Hartford, a rather large percentage.

Maybe this need to be looked into and get the percentages of those who have voted in the last few elections made known, for both parties. And Stratford pays people to do this job.

  8. 8 jezebel282

    Save:

NOTHING surprises me in this town.

    Freedom:

Don’t you know the State Attorney is way too busy investigating personnel procedures than to deal with crimes like theft and voter fraud.

  9. 9 1george1

    DEAD BEAT Dick

I guess there is a need to enlist deceased VOTERS to offset ABSENTEE BALOOTS
(oooops, I mean BALLOTS) which other people are passionate about?

    Indeed a GRAVE ISSUE.
Will Blue Menthol ISSUE ORDERS of DECEASE and RESIST?
Will “political MARKERS” be called in to offset the TOMB STONE raiders of the
    lost ark(s) monies paid?
I guess BERCHEM specializes in JE SUIT?
Sui, sui, sui, … public trough?

  10. 10 jezebel282

Tonight the Democratic Town Committee will be meeting at the Baldwin Center at 7pm.

You’ll never guess who wants to be nominated as Democratic Registrar of Voters…

    Very good! You are correct!

    RICHARD MIRON!

(Can you hear Dom Costello and Jon Best laughing their butts off?)

  11. 11 1george1

    Honestly,

    I hope he wins.

Although I like Fredette, far better than Dead Beat Dick, I think Deat beat
is the perfect symbol for the degeneration of the Democratic Party.

Maybe there were be an FDR revival?

In the future, I am expecting similar revleations about Norm’s proxies, in the
RTC, AVCO, SHAKESPEARE, and TOWN ATTORNEY/POLICE..

  12. 12 jezebel282

I hear that they will be serving refreshments at the DTC meeting tonight. A giant pitcher of “special” Kool-Aid to wash down the vote.

    Drink up, Democrats!

PS… Greg Wanamaker… is that the homeowner/taxpayer at 185 Freeman Ave? Hmm… doesn’t someone else “reside” (LOL) there too???

  14. 14 sudds

    I gots an idear…

Why doesn’t Jimmy-boy just get his brother named Registrar of Voters… that way he can have a town job with worrying about that whole committment thing that the shrink is worried about!?!?!?

  15. 15 1george1

Is this a SECRET VOTE or a VOICE VOTE?

I went to one of these and they had a VOICE VOTE. Then DTC Chair Tony Schirillo
announced he heard a rumor that pressure was placed on people on how to
vote. He told the Town Committee members that if anyone had any threats or
felt co-erced to come to him.
    Hmmmmmm?
What if certain people in the DTC & police are doing the threats and committing crimes? 😉 Jus wondering about GRASS EATERS, MEAT EATERS, & FEED EATERS?

    Hmmmmm? 8)
This is the same day/night & time as the Board of Education Budget Work
Shop, which Gavin will chair and which Alvin, Emma, & Amy, are also supposed
to attend, as well as the Republicans on the Town Council.

It will be interesting to see PEOPLES’ priorities. 😉
Hey Gavin, sneaky way to get out of VOTING. 🙂

I believe there is or was a Public Safety Budget Workshop scheduled for Thurs,
night of the C. R. C. – Hey how come there is nothing any longer on this BLOG
    calling itself stratfordCHARTER.wordpress.com?

I know there is a Budget Workshop Saturday scheduled for 8:00 am for several
    of the smaller Departments.

Hey Gavin, sneaky way to get out of VOTING

I wish people would takethe time to get the correct information before making assumptions.

George there are no nominations on the agenda for this evenings STDC meeting so there is nothing to avoid voting about.

The window within which we are allowed to schedule the meeting is Tuesday, 5/20 through Tuesday 5/27 and that is governed by State Statute.

“I believe there is or was a Public Safety Budget Workshop scheduled for Thurs,
night of the C. R. C. – Hey how come there is nothing any longer on this BLOG”

George that meeting was tentative and will not be scheduled. The Public Safety Departments will be present on May 17th.

“I know there is a Budget Workshop Saturday scheduled for 8:00 am for several
    of the smaller Departments.”

Wrong again George – There is a workshop on the 18th but the smaller departments i.e. Zoning – Planning – Registrar for example will be excluded. Historically there have been few if any questions of the departments and if there are a council member is encouraged to email the head of the department for clarification.

On the schedule will be Public Safety – Administration – Finance – Public Works – Parks – Health – Town Attorney to name a few.

GEORGE > Actually GAVIN, I was
    1) Raising a question if there was still a meeting on Thurs since I wrote
“is or was” into my question.
(I added quotations NOW – I ommitted 2 question marks)
(Thank you for making it clear, it will not take place, on that day/time,
and WAS a TENTATIVE whereas I simply wrote “is or was” = LESS CLEAR.) 8)’

    2) Teasing Jeze about the lack of CHARTER ISSUES on a blog named for the
CHARTER. Especially after the CONECTILE DYSFUNCTION was deleted, which
I have placed a lot of CHARTER related information.

    3) Right about Public Safety being on a SATURDAY, but wrong about the DATE.
    GOOD CATCH!
What is it about the number (May) 17 & police / military / government?
Some sort of Scot Rite Code ring number? (No disrespect to good Masons!!)

Not too lucky a number for the 17 dead USA Astonauts.

3 died in Apollo 1 > Jan 1967 > Gus Grissom, Edward White II and Roger Chaffee

7 died in Challenger > Jan 1986 > Greg Jarvis, Christa McAuliffe, Ronald McNair, Ellison Onizuka, Judith Resnik, Michael J. Smith, and Dick Scobee

7 died in Columbia > Feb 2003 > Rick D. Husband, William McCool, Michael P. Anderson, David M. Brown, Kalpana Chawla, Laurel B. Clark, and Ilan Ramon

Gavin from George -> Tom Moore told me the meetings for Saturday were for the smaller and less controversial meetings. You sent me an e-mail correcting me
about the “less controversial aspect. I overlooked the other part.
    Me GOOFED!
Again, thank you for correcting me.
Gavin, you are providing a real service. Not teasing.

I will tease about lack of real time Webcast, although it may go Real Time for
Channel 79, which my dish network and Oronoque Village doesn’t have, nor
does a Majority of Stratford Residents. 😉
I will tease about not being able to find this stuff on the Website. 😦
I will tease about a lot of lack of Transparency in town.
But Gavin, I am actually taking a swipe more at the Mayor and entire Town Council than at you. You did good agin today!

    Curious George.

But Jeze, you do bring up a lot of interesting stuff like the DTC Registrar Vote.
    Who you voting for? 8)

    I had to ask?
It may get a LOL from Gavin. 😉

Or was it “always” a foregone conclusion?

  21. 21 jezebel282

    George,

It is very hard to tell what the CRC has actually DONE so far.

The basic points have yet to be resolved (and PLEASE correct me if I’m wrong):

    1. Creation of an Independent Town Attorney
    2. Removal of “at will” status of Town employees.
    3. Enhanced budget oversight by the Council
    4. Run Offs (what kind of Charter did we actually vote on?)

  22. 22 lauradobosz

As a member of the SDTC and the DTC chair of my district, I can assure you that no one has coerced me, threatened me, attempted to manipulate me or offered me any kool aid. (I prefer lemon flavored, if anyone cares to know) As Gavin stated, there will be no voting this evening, simply a question/answer session with individuals who would like to run for the nomination. I plan to attend and will listen to all of the potential candidates and what they would intend to do, in their role as registrar. I will make my decision after hearing those statements and will chose whomever I personally think is the best person for the job. I will confess to having questioned other democrats in town on their opinions, but not a one of them tried to influence me in either direction. Actually, only one was willing to state a concrete opinion prior to tonight’s meeting, at all.

On a side note, I have tried to post here amicably (against my better judgement, perhaps) but I have to say (finally) I have about had it with the personal attacks on Christian. (sudds, this is for you) He does not post here. He does not attack anyone in the media or elsewhere, either any side of town politics. He is a kind, honest, hard working resident of Stratford who chooses to privately live his life. He simply wanted to serve his community and now has had his name slandered all over the post and WTNH. Enough is enough. What has been printed, was obtained illegally and never should have been printed in the first place. If an investigation was needed, the hiring departments involved could have done so, without a media fiasco. The duty was in the hands of the HR dept. for the SPD. Not the CT Post or Mr. Henrick. I am sure there will be those who would have wished I just kept quiet and ignored this, but I have done so for too long and it sickens me that you are continuing to bring it up. I am all for debating issues and seeking resolution, but enough is enough in this case.

    Thanks.

    Miss/Mrs/Ms(?) Dobosz,

With all due respect, when someone tries to obtain a position where the safety of myself, my family, my friends, neighbors, etc is/are at stake… then I can give a flying monkey butt about their privacy!

And I don’t care if his last name is Miron, Mulligan, Sperling, Smith, Jones & XYZ… I do NOT want someone with his application file (do I need to list the negatives again?) getting this position!!!

Do I think that the file should have been leaked? No. Has it been leaked? Yes Am I glad that it was leaked? YES!!!

PS… “What has been printed, was obtained illegally and never should have been printed in the first place”. A lot of information pertaining to Watergate should not have been printed either… and I think we can all agree that Nixon resigning was the dignified thing to do! Hmm… speaking of dignity, maybe…. LOL!!!!

  34. 34 jezebel282

    Sudds,

It took me a while to stop laughing.

It is true that Mr. Forrester has the ability to do good things for this Town and has proven his dedication. His EMS work is a prime example. On the other hand, Mr. Forrester has cast votes enabling Miron to get away with a LOT of what he has gotten away with.

  35. 35 freedomofspeach

“He is a kind, honest, hard working resident of Stratford who chooses to privately live his life. He simply wanted to serve his community and now has had his name slandered all over the post and WTNH.”

Thank you for your comment. But please use the words correctly when your dealing in a legal situation, as this clearly is. By not doing that it creates an issue on what the factual legal ramifications are.

First can you cite the legal statute that protects the records? I would appreciate it.

Second, Slander is generally defined as the spoken form of defamation of character, in legal terms this refers to a falsehood presented as true which could harm the reputation of a person or entity. If defamation of character is placed in a fixed, published, or printed form, it is considered libel. In short, slander is temporarily uttered or verbalized; libel is published or otherwise fixed.

The problem with proving defamation of character is the protection of free speech guaranteed by the First Amendment, as the courts usually agree that an opinion, no matter how harmful, is not the same as a stated fact. In addition, in order to prove a claim, the plaintiff would have to prove he had character to defame. In addition, he needs to be able to show damages. He cannot claim he did not get the job, or chose not to take it because of the alleged slander, as he clearly was not up to the standards (according to the reports) to have the job in the first place, and others who were better qualified were not selected.

Also, based on the facts that have been presented in the news media and as received by the town council, he cannot be slandered as the records presented clearly show “facts” as noted in the record, and since most of the sources were quoted from a news organizations, truth, and the absence of malice is a winning defense.

So although no one likes to have their private life all over the media, in a paper, on TV or in an online blog, the facts are just that. Being a related to 2 public officials and 1 public person, the public person a convicted felon, and one of the public officials under investigation for numerous counts of civil fraud (so far) and applying for a public law enforcement job might make him/her a fair newsworthy target.

The issue of the release of the records is inconsequential and moot, as the information is of clear public interest on a potentially public person, who may be unqualified for the job and only offered the job clearly by nepotism. In addition, the required transparency of the government in all its actions in this matter has failed. I am sure the Miron family does not want months of pre-trial discovery, reviewing all the information on how he became eligible, and then a very public trial. They, in my opinion, tried to sneak in an unqualified, potentially risky candidate over the list of others who were more qualified for the position. They got caught and they will have to pay the price politically.

Don’t blame the people who are talking about it. Blame those who lack the moral compass necessary to be in public service, and caused this mess in the first place.

Sorry Suds I was writing a brief and got carried away…

  38. 38 mikereynolds

    I have been zinged.

  39. 39 sudds

    Freedom…

Is there any way you could possibly convert that to English for me???

Actually, all I really care about is can someone quoting the CT Post be sued for libel? (that’s the correct word, right?)

  40. 40 freedomofspeach

These are not legal opinions, just my humble ones. Remember you get what you pay for, and this is free.

The simple answer is no if you repeat what was published in a newspaper, and it is reasonably likely true, although they can sue a sandwich and drag it to court, they probably won’t win. Opinions are protected free speech.

Anyone can sue anyone for anything. Didn’t Miron sue a bunch of seniors?

Slander is the spoken form of defamation of character; libel is if its published or otherwise fixed like on a billboard or a poster.

A news organization that publishes a libelous statement (something that defames someone that is not true) may not be held accountable if there was absence of malice. Meaning that if they had no malicious intent then they may not be held accountable in a court of law.

Now a couple of thoughts, it’s hard to bring a slander or libel suite when the allegations are true, and you have to have ‘good” character to defame. I don’t think any of the family members can win on both of these.

    Hope that helps

  41. 41 1george1

    Laura,
You have spunk. I appreciate your posts. We actually share “some” opinions,
while being diametric in others. But, I LIKE that!
I also have NEVER had an ISSUE, with Christian Miron, in one to one or political situations.
I suspect Dave Mooney may be niaive in his belief in some people. I like him.
I like Kent. I know there are issues, which I DON’T LIKE!

Do I want Christian on the Stratford Police force?
Someone suggested it would have been wiser for him to apply to another Dept.,
and he probably would have sailed through. I can think of hundreds of people
who worry me (if I cared any longer) more than Christian Miron.

I do NOT think highly of DEAD BEAT DICK or his Honor.
I don’t hate them. I actually pity them and Burturla, among others.
There are people who enabled them, however….
I also understand why BLOGGERS have reason to ……….

    Hmmmm?
    Richard mIrON
    Richard nIxON
    mn
    rx
Some sorta code or brand from the 1980s?
Both Tricky Dick, masters of the Dirty Trick
Aw… It is a huge reach. Even I am not serious, but… 🙂

Hey Dick Burtula had the stipend changed from $ 675, from $ 666 a month.
Yet, according to the Jim Miron proposed Budget, money spent in 2007 on
Town Attoreny FEES were also the sign of the DEVIL $ 666,???.?? 😉
    Hmmm? 8)

As Sudds blogged and I can NOT completely disagree: 😦
With all due respect, when someone tries to obtain a position where the safety of myself, my family, my friends, neighbors, etc is/are at stake… then I can give a flying monkey butt about their privacy!

(I guess Sudds watched the Wizard of Oz recently to pull out the flying
    monkey butt, reference?) 🙂

  42. 42 jezebel282

    Sudds,

I wouldn’t worry about it. I have yet to see Ms. Dobosz post anything that was even close to reality. According to her, everything is just wonderful in Mironville.

    Editor’s note:

Mike, for some reason (beats me) your posts are getting caught by the spam filter. I don’t see anything wrong with them (although I am sure George does). I will release your posts manually as soon as I see them.

  44. 44 gforrester

It is true that Mr. Forrester has the ability to do good things for this Town and has proven his dedication. His EMS work is a prime example. On the other hand, Mr. Forrester has cast votes enabling Miron to get away with a LOT of what he has gotten away with.

Jez I’m not sure that many of my votes has enabled the Mayor to “get away with a lot” – The Charter limits the powers of the Council so i’m sure there were many instances when the Council was unable to change administrative decisions. I would pointout that I have also cast votes in oppisition to the Mayor’s position such as over riding the veto of the creation of a CRC and votes against the first two budgets that would have raised taxes between 8 & 10%. I also voted against the Republican led suspension of the Capital Improvement Plan in 2007 which would have haulted many projects unrelated to the Town Hall Renovations so I like to think that I try to be balanced in my approach. I think you would be hard pressed to come up with many votes in the past 12 month where the Mayor would say I was his biggest supporter.

  45. 45 jezebel282

    Mr. Forrester,

I was actually referring to your vote on last year’s budget. It seems a balanced budget is the goal. Not dismissing 6 department heads (and others) and then declaring a “surplus” which matches their salaries. Not to mention approving the positions of Mayoral “Aides” without requiring job descriptions. I am glad you brought up the LoCIP grant though. Can you explain what other projects unrelated to renovating the mayor’s office would have been effected?

Perhaps we can attribute these to freshman votes? I must admit, I am quite proud of you when Miron calls you a “backstabber”. On it’s face, it means you are voting correctly. And to be honest, you may be the most demonstrably ethical and open councilman on this particular council. Which, of course, raises our expectations of you.

  46. 46 1george1

Even though I ran against Gavin and I criticize him, I often praise him too,
    for conscientious efforts.

Given Gavin’s impatients and self esteem, like last night when he ripped Ben
Branyan for his getting information in the PONY which Ben knew was wrong
(Yet apparently did NOT know was included in a release to the Council) I
can not believe that Gavin is happy about being connected to the Mayor?
    1. Yes, they are both Democrats.
    2. Yes, Gavin has voted on party lines, often in the past, yet look at the
options. I believe Norm, Feehan, and some others are just as bad or worse
    than the Mirons,
And all of them are letting Burturla get away with a 300 % – 400 % pay increase
in his last two years, (making OVER $ 500,000 each year, JUST the TOWN SIDE)
and the offerall office up from $ 221,??? in 98/99 to $ 666,??? in 2007 acording to
the Mayor’s proposed Budget (if I remember correctly?).

Gavin has included the Town Attorney’s office in the Budget Work Shop process.
I have asked him, the Council, the Mayor, the C. A. O., & the FINANCE DIRECTOR,
for INCREASED WEB BASED TRANSPARENCY of MONTHLY EXPENSES and SPENDING/
CASE JUSTIFICATIONS = for everyone to instantly see.
(completely unrelated & much PRIOR, to the NEW Finance Advisory – which I
will NOT comment about, except CERTAIN of my QUESTIONS far preceeded)
    > I teased Kevin Kelly (who I like far more than Burturla) last night.

Town Attorneys use the Public Treasury, often against the peoples’ interests
and often on behalf of the people who appoint them.
    > Burturla & others did it when the Town Council appointed them.
    > Burturla & others (Florek/August/Proto?) do it when the Mayor appointed
them OR/AND makes income at the PLEASURE of the Mayor / Town Attorney,
and/or Attorney firms allied to them, in my opinion.

    THAT is a C. R. C. ISSUE!
THAT is a BAR ASSOCIATION ISSUE!
THAT may be a civil and/or criminal issue? IF, IF,….only the courts were not
contemptuous? But, this is not a perfect world or a real democratic republic,
were Laws were NOT writen for the FEW, costing RIGHTS of the Many!

    Mr. Forrester,

“I’ll be asking for a lot of job descriptions at the budget workshop and not just Ms. Hablicka and Haydu.”

I suppose it’s better late than never.

“The believe the motion was to suspend the entire capital plan which would have affected road repairs – sidewalk repairs – school buldings etc.”

I find that difficult to fathom. We had a $500,000 grant for local capital improvement and ALL of it was spent on Town Hall.

    § 2.2.1. Council Powers.
The Council shall have the power to make, alter and repeal orders and ordinances (k) relative to the regulation of the construction, reconstruction, materials,
location, height, maintenance, use and occupancy of buildings;… (o) relative to
    the creation, provision for, construction, regulation and maintenance of all things in the nature of public works and improvements;

  53. 53 sudds

    Gavin,

Is there any way that you can also ask for proof of residency for all individuals (employed or elected) who are required to live in town?

  54. 54 gforrester

“I find that difficult to fathom. We had a $500,000 grant for local capital improvement and ALL of it was spent on Town Hall.”

This issue is over a year old and I don’t have the amounts but I don’t believe the entire $500,000 went to Town Hall renovations. There was an accounting given to the council I will try and find in my files somewhere.

Jez don’t get confused between LOCIP and the entire Capital Improvement Plan. I don’t have the Council Minutes in front of me but Council Member Miranda, as I recall, made a motion to suspect the CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN, not suspend the LOCIP portion of the plan. If you look at the 2008-09 Capital Improvement Plan before us now it gives us sources of funds for capital improvements to include Bonding – General Fund – and LOCIP. BY the time the Council was made aware that the source of funds used to “removate” town hall was LOCIP 85% of the work had been done and to suspend the CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN would have effected improvement projects that were bonded to include road improvements.

  55. 55 gforrester

Sudds all that is needed to prove residence is a piece of mail like a cell phone bill, car lease invoice, drivers license indicating where someone lives. Your welcome to stop by my house to verify where I live althought my wife will probably say I’m at Town Hall so much I live there lol (which is in the 3rd district I might add lol)

  56. 56 pcsperling

I see you all woke Laura up again…. naughty bloggers! LOL

  57. 57 jezebel282

    Mr. Forrester,

“This issue is over a year old”

I realize this. It is, however, an example of the amount of arrogance displayed by this mayor. To take a $500,000 grant designed to help towns make necessary capital improvements and spend it on his own office (including soundproofing and electronic self locking doors) essentially spits in the face of taxpayers.

  58. 58 jezebel282

    Pat,

“Sudds all that is needed to prove residence is a piece of mail like a cell phone bill, car lease invoice, drivers license indicating where someone lives.”

THAT’S IT? WTF?? Seriously… how easy is that to manipulate? Is this another issue for the CRC… or does someone else need to impliment a change (please dear god do NOT let it be a mayoral decision)?

“Your welcome to stop by my house to verify where I live althought my wife will probably say I’m at Town Hall so much I live there lol (which is in the 3rd district I might add lol)”

Don’t worry you earned my votes for a long time coming (assuming you do/can run for something) last Saturday when I saw you at Longbrook Park fishing @#!*% out of the pond with a pool skimmer!!! 🙂
(note: sorry I couldn’t make it, but we had to leave for a wedding at 10am-ish)

  61. 61 jezebel282

    Sudds,

“all that is needed to prove residence is a piece of mail like a cell phone bill, car lease invoice, drivers license indicating where someone lives.”

That pretty much answers how Michael Singh got elected, not to mention Alvin Oneal and Amy Wanamaker. I can change my cell phone billing address online.

  62. 62 freedomofspeach

That just “proves” you get mail there, and the registrar obviously accepts that. A govt issued photo ID would be better because that’s a crime if you have an invalid address.

They did away with the stricter requirements as some people could not find their way to the DMV to get a state issued photo ID, or could not meet the requirements to get one, and they wanted them to be able to vote.

It is still a crime to misrepresent your residence address for any public purpose. But the complaint must be from the public agency.

Heck, you have dead people voting, although they dont have headstones, so do they have an address?

If you can prove it then run them out of town on a rail.

  63. 63 1george1

    Gavin:

You asked a couple of GREAT QUESTIONS at the BoE BUDGET WORKSHOP

    1) Capital Improvement issues

    If I remember correctly
    > BoE did not provide a LIST of what was actually done
    > BoE indicated it may have been $ 1 m range
    > You raised issue Bonding raised was (i think) $ 5 m
    Q:
Is that where Jimbo is getting the cash for pet projects and low tax increase?

    2) BoE Grants incoming & NOT in the EXPENSES

    If I remember correctly.
    > BoE has a couple $ million on Grants.
    >> You asked if they were 1 time and / or recurring
    >> You asked where they were applied in the proposed Budget.
    >> I believe Ben said they were NOT APPLIED, anywhere?
That woke up Joe Kubic, to whom you deferred.

GAVIN can you expound upon each issue?
    Please correct me! 8)

    Great pick ups!

  64. 64 sudds

“I can change my cell phone billing address online.”

GREAT advice… Rocki will now be a legal candidate the next time I… I mean she gets her Sprint bill!!!

  65. 65 gforrester

    George:

Mike Henrick asked for a list of those projects that we bonded for last year and what has been completed so we should have that list shortly.

This year the amount for Capital Improvements is about $ 5 Million and a good majority of that is to begin the groundwork for the renovation of Honeyspot House.

The “honey pot” of cash so to speak has always been Grant Money. Grant Money can’t be anticipated because you never know if you will get the grant or qualify for full funding that you applied for. The BOE is not different than the Muni side when it comes to that. I have some extensive questions for PD about the grants program and what happens to the $$ that we get from drug cases when we acquire cash or property.

Of course we don’t have a grant writer on the muni side anymore (thanks Bpt lol) but individual departments still apply for grants (well those that take the initative do liek PD and Fire – not so much EMS – Parks – PW – Rec from what I have seen) but the BOE has an excellent one in Pat Naylor so we should hope for some serious cash flow on the grant side of the BOE.

  66. 66 jezebel282

    Mr. Forrester,

  69. 69 1george1

    Gavin,
Excellent FYI and questions the other night.

    Gavin,
I am very, very curious, what (if any) Grant Money was gained after
    Diane Toolan was dumped?

(I liked Diane T as a person and thought her hands were tied related
to Economic Development, as I believe certain people have a time table
and look to rob the town blind or at least steer….)

    ->

I just can NOT resist selective out of context: 8)

“$$ that we get from drug”

cases when we acquire cash or property

    ->

I would still like to BUDGET MORE MONEY to the LIBRARY, than they
asked for, specifically conditioned to HIRE more MASTER DEGREED
people in RESEARCH, with a minimum they have to find for GRANTS,
AND then let them keep or get back from the Town / BoE >
10 % of what ever they found & was converted to actual GRANTS.

Give them the Resources and the Incentive to help FUND their own

  77. 77 1george1

    Interesting comment by Jeze:

“Most of those fired were either democrats or independents.”

Dim Miron & Burturla are supposed to be a Democrat, and the Republicans keep
setting up C. R. C.s to do their dirty work.

Yet Most of those fired were either democrats or independents.
As in Voccola Democrats, who worked with old school Republicans…

    Anyone need a scorecard?

Movie on CT Locations: All good things > opening soon
Movie on CT Locations: Just kill < dead last year, during early months of PW

  78. 78 jezebel282

    George,

“Yet Most of those fired were either democrats or independents.
As in Voccola Democrats, who worked with old school Republicans…”

Actually…no, George. Prior to 2.5 years ago most Town employees went through an interview process, references were checked and tests given. They just happened to be like everyone one else, either a registered Republican, Democrat or Independent. A lot of them simply registered as one or the other when they became old enough to vote.

As I have said, many many times, neither the Democratic Town Committee nor Republican Town Committee bear any resemblance to the DNC or RNC. They are just street gangs that have taken over the Town government.

The taxpayers are the innocent victims of their gang wars and drive-bys.

  79. 79 1george1

    Jeze,

You know how I feel about the RNC / DNC – RSC / DSC – RTC / DTC.

You also know about my life and death contentions.

However there are people who have ability to wreck havoc with very subtle
    and virtually untraceable organic pathogens.

The scale of damage done nationally and internationally, make local and state
punks look like choir boys and brownies, in comparison.

  80. 80 jezebel282

    George,

A common mistake. Most voters think that when they vote for president they are doing something significant. In comparison, they skip Council elections and Mayoral elections where their vote counts MUCH more significantly. 1 vote in 100 means much much more than 1 vote in 30 million.

All politics are local. Nothing effects your mortgage payment more than the 10 people on the Council and the Mayor. Nothing is more responsible for your child’s education than those same 11 people.

Miron got in with maybe 1,000 votes. Out of 30,000 voters.

    All politics are local.

  81. 81 1george1

    Jeze,
I believe MA House Speaker Tip O’Neill’s fvorite saying “All politics are local.”

About 2001-3, I had a letter to the editor published to the similar effect that
when 1/2 of the people vote, their vote is the same as 2 people.
    1/3rd = 3 people
    1/4th = 4 people
    1/5th = 5 people
Some time after that the 1st Charter Revision Commission took place.
    They created the mayor.
They bought in Bill O’Brien to take out the Sterling House vote.
    And guess who got elected.
Gavin’s going to hate this, but Jon Best had and has the best qualifications,
of any of the candidates and he won the debates.
I would have given him a run for his money, in the debates, but not come
anywhere close in votes, but I would have called Jim Miron on many issues.

    Back then I favored Eddie.
I didn’t know him well, but he seemed the most honest and well intentioned.
    I believe Ed was intimidated!

    A close friend backs Dom.
I learned much from my friend.
I believe, many of Dom’s platforms, came from my friend, including things
learned from me. I don’t care, if it helps the town!
Dom has his own stuff too.
    1. No one worked harder than Dom. NO ONE.
    2. DOM had more SIGNS than all of Stratford’s For Sale signs.
    3. DOM raised $ 100,000 and spent $ 50,000 of his own money.
    (I spent $ 925, on Town Council because I had to keep under $ 1,000 &
I spent far less when I tried to run for Mayor, and was dumb enough to
trust a Registrar for timely information – not RM.)

I rate Jim and Dom about even in the debates.
Jim & friends also picked up ideas from me, and then took the reverse for
    personal, political, and allies benefit.

I believe Bill O’Brien embarassed himself. He barely knew the issues.
Great guy! Very capable @ Sterling House. Actually might have been the
best Mayor, when all is considered. But in my eyes he embarassed himself
on the issues and allowing himself to be used for Jim’s election.

I believe Tom Carroll made Bill O”Brien and all the others look almost competent.

You can check with Sylvia, who was at the ST. Joseph’s debate.
Sylvia was with a couple friends and gave me significant praise in that I tore
up Miron, and the political parties. She told me I had one of her friends
doubled over laughing a couple times.
I got a good laugh when I asked people to pick up copies of my platform,
which were on a table in a foyer. Why? This way when the mayor announces
a new program, the people in the audience would know where it came from,
and I mean really came from,

When I saw the replays, I wasn’t as good as I thought I was in the Debate.
I am sure I got the most good sound bites. Alvin set me up perfectly when
he pointed out the Republicans had their position on the CRC and Democrats
had their position on the C.R.C.
When my turn came, I thanked ALVIN for allowing me to point out….
NO ONE REPRESENTED THE UNAFFILIATED on the C. R. C.!
Gavin (VERY) and a couple others are pretty capable.
While I took a couple of minor shots at Gavin and Chuck Devan (R), we all
had a decent rapport. (Well Gavin was grumpy and just started showing his
sense of humor.) But, Jim Miron and friends took some political shots from me!
As a person, I don’t dislike Jim. I do dislike his politics and some things he has
done. and i have given praise to him, Dick, Burturla, and others who I believe
are a huge negative on Stratford!

I sat next Mike Singh who is very, very capable and I tease him about being
a close second to me at the debate. 🙂
Whenever we talk, we have a good laugh. Super sense of humor. Bright.
He talks the talk. He had accomplished some stuff for his district, which
others accomplished less, in comparative amount of time. Mike comes off
as Cocky and as a self promoter. But I KNOW he cares about his people!!

(I think Alvin improved in 6 years, despite often doing bidding, but less than ..)

However, at the debate Emma was comparatively good, for no experience.

When I got my copies of the televised debate, where much of the positions
on the Charter Revision were edited out. It skipped a few people’s original
position, and ALL of the ADDED comments, then skipped a couple people,
starting back up with Joe (lawyer) Kubic, who was capable.
Kubic won with so few votes, that editting may have won it for him.
I know Kubic was no where near the editting. Just LUCKY, I guess 😉

“DOM raised $ 100,000 and spent $ 50,000 of his own money.”

If he did he failed to report it and will be going to jail.

There is no way he raised $100,000 for his last run, and added $50,000. Mayors of West Haven and Hamden did not raise that or much more than that.

Like to know your source for that or is this another one of Doms myths like his PD or his business career.

  83. 83 1george1

    Dom told me personally.

Despite the fact he is a friend of a friend.
Despite the fact I give him props for the work and walking he did,
as well as single handedly reviving the sign industry ….
    I never supported him.

Months ago I gave Dom some information a friend asked me to make
available to him. I spoke to Dom a couple times. He turned his back
on the C. R. C. issue, which could have been big.

Some clown dropped off an envelope with JOKE material, in very
bad taste and I was somehow blamed for it, causing problems to
other people. I will not be supporting Dom.

Because of certain people, other than Jon, I can not support Jon.

    My preferences for Mayor?
    1) Diane Buda
    1A) Ralph Nader
    2) Me (no chance)

  84. 84 freedomofspeach

If DOM told you that, then I think he is a liar. To the best of my knowledge no one raised that much, nor put in that much. And if he did, he did not report it as I had previously looked at all the campaign filings and think I would have remembered. But I could be wrong. I will apologize if I am found to be incorrect.

$150,000 to run for Mayor for an excop who owns donut shops (well they do sell cigs and lottery I think, very very classy) is a lot of money. Additionally I think the New Haven Mayors race was around that total amount but not sure.

Mr. Best are you going to repost the finance statements last year for comparison on your web page? Now I am curious. That would mean he averaged over $25,000 per filing cycle.

  85. 85 jezebel282

    George,

I have to agree with Freedom. Think about it for a second. If he spent $150,000 and STILL lost how much can anyone want him to be mayor?

He has been dreadfully silent for 2.5 years. He watched 38 people leave Town Hall, He watched Berchem Moses & Devlin bleed the Town dry, he watched the citizens petition be rejected by the same firm, he watched the CRC fix the typos and font of the Charter, he watched the deals for SAEP and Shakepeare collapse (again). Not a word.

The only comment he had was how Jon Best stole his RTC coronation ceremony from him.

  86. 86 jezebel282

    George,

Mr Best has indeed provided the last campaign finance reports. According to the document it looks like Mr. Costello raised about $7,700. To his credit, not a single donor listed was or is a Town employee. I cannot see from the documents anything that resembles $150,000.

(By the way, the handwriting is AWFUL.)

Mr. Best made do with about $6,800. Although there are some interesting individual contributors.

  87. 87 1george1

And who said this blog is useless?

I wonder if Berchem’s firm made any documented donations to anyone,
    in either or both parties?

My total spent for Mayor was nominal. $ 100?
I spent $ 925 for Town Council. Mostly bumper stickers and signs.
A mailing would have been more appropriate.
At least I have the Website.

I wonder what the totals are for each candidate for Mayor and Town
    Council?

  88. 88 freedomofspeach

    to Miron

9/23/2005 Michael Devlin, Employer: Berchem, Devlin & Moses $1000.

9/28/2005 Richard Buturla, Employer: Berchem, Devlin & Moses $1000.

  89. 89 1george1

Thank you FOS for the FYI

Just asking? Is Michael Devlin related to the Devlin who:
    1. Is a Judge in Bridgeport area.
    2. The post WW II Devlin who was/in in the C.I.A.?

The Berchem Website biographies indicates one of their Attorneys
is also a Derby Police LT. Detective.

The Berchem Website biographies indicates one of their Attorneys
from the merger, was in the Army Judge Advocacy Corp., same as
the former Judge Advocate who presented to the Feehan Town
Council on behalf of MONTY PYTHON or MONTI POSILLICO or
    SILLY CO?
I wonder if they are one and the same person?

    Hmmmmm?
Team Stratford # 1 Hochman or Hockman + Norm
Team Stratford # 2 Monti Posillico or Monty Python PO Silly Co
+ Norm /\ (Willinger hired the court steno)
    Team Stratford # 3 Green Acres / Area 51
    (Willinger – nATEra)

  90. 90 jezebel282

    Update:

Richard Miron’s next court appearance is scheduled for 9/18/2008 9:30 AM.

I’m giving 2:1 odds he will call in sick again.

  91. 91 citizenkane1

word on the street is lawyers on bothside are trying to roll everything into one case, don’t know if thats good or bad.

  92. 92 jezebel282

    Kane,

Since there is no reasonable expectation that Miron can pay any of these people back, I hope that there is some jailtime involved. Barbara Gorman just doesn’t make that kind of money. She just likes old felons.

And let’s not forget the AG’s Office. Blumenthal would probably like to run for office again, you know. A guilty verdict would serve him well in Stratford.

  93. 93 freedomofspeach

It’s very bad. If it is one court action he can plead, like his daughter, accelerated rehabilitation (AR), this is a get out of jail free card. He serves no time, and is on probation for a year or so. If he does not commit a crime during that time, then his record is cleared. Its like nothing ever happened.

Someone must protest to the court, judge, states attorney, the press have to get going. I posted when this happened this was what they are going to do, and its not justice for these people it’s a way for him to get off scott free.

This should be 80 plus separate charges as there are many different victims.

With Blumenthal, there is no bite to his charges. Its civil, he will just go bankrupt on any fines and there is nothing that can be done about it. The AG will tote a win, but as with most of his actions there is nothing other than press. Criminal is the only way anyone will receive justice, and thats only if he cant go on AR.

  94. 94 jezebel282

    FOS,

Brooke Miron had to make restitution to receive AR. Not the case for Dick?

  95. 95 freedomofspeach

If you look at the ability to make restitution, Brook has many years of employment left, DM is sick, lost his business and most likely will not be making any town money, and filing for bankruptcy, so the judge, although wrong, most likely will give him a token restitution over the term of probation, but considering he keeps getting “sick” a doctors note might just get him totally off.

Lets face it. He does not have a dollar to his name, pulled money out of his retirement account, and I hear lives with someone. The son is going to lose his job in about a year, and has substantial potential legal issues of his own. The family is sort of political “white trash” and without the hand outs from BM & D, what is JM going to do for work?

My guess, if combined, he will get AR, a minor fine, and penny on the dollar restitution that he will have to pay over a two year probation. He will then plead on the civil and claim (although wrongly) res judicata on the fines and restitution.

  96. 96 jezebel282

    FOS,

You would think that the State Attorney and AG’s office would confirm that the plaintiff parties are not duplicated. But I’m sure Ellery Plotkin will argue res judicata anyway.

It’s a sorry state that if you’re caught shoplifting you stand a greater chance of jailtime than if you use a rubber stamp that says “For Deposit Only”. And then going further and using the proceeds of the theft to donate to Miron’s campaign.

  97. 97 citizenkane1

what if a number of the cases can be charged as crimes against the elderly? Would that make a difference?
I saw many of the small claims had judgements for the clients. What if he doesn’t pay those either?

  98. 98 jezebel282

    Kane,

Unfortunately judgments are for honest people. There is precious little you can do to enforce a judgment.

Most restaurants and credit card companies will not accept a judgment as payment. Many times all you can do with your judgment is frame it and hang it on a wall.

  99. 99 freedomofspeach

No debtors prison, if he does not pay the only thing they can do is try and enforce a judgment and go after wages and assets, and he really has none. They are not going for crimes against the elderly, only the larceny that I know of. Wont change anything if they add them if its 100 counts of the same class crime, he can still plead out for AR.

The only way this wont happen is if the media and the taxpayers protest loudly. Only political pressure is going to stop him from walking away.

  100. 100 freedomofspeach

Lets have a little fun. In certain professions and academic settings you have “hypotheticals” some groups call them ‘what ifs”.

So let’s say you’re a disgruntled peasant of a mighty kingdom, the king is raping and pillaging the kingdom, raising taxes, cutting deals with friends, his father is grave robbing, and his sister is stealing from the local tavern. All with impunity. The kings brother wants to be a knight, but does not meet the height requirement, but gets the job anyway, until an uprising of the peasants knocks him off the little pony the kingdom had to buy so he could fit in and he runs to his brother, father, and main scribe, for comfort.

He has a lot of scribes helping him write edicts, costing the kingdom millions, that take away things from the peasants, and makes the taxes go higher, while the teachatoriums lose all their money, and the king sits and laughs all day with his many swords, feeling very manish. Because he’s the F@*&*%$ king.

Now some of the peasants get together and write an anonymous periodical that denounces the king and his family of thieves. The king and company are not too happy with this but they cant find out who is writing it, as there is no way they can control the peasants freedom of speech because they do not know who they are.

So to counter the peasants, the king, a former scribe himself, orders one of his jesters, the one who can write, to write a competing periodical under an assumed name in an effort to make the peasants think that there is another group that is supporting the king, and that things are just peachy. Although this is sheep dip, they fill the periodical with fantasy stuff that feeds the kings ego and talks about how great things are in the kingdom.

The king also has some ideas on his own. If he can get the rebellious peasants to post comments in his periodical, thinking that they would remain anonymous, he could find out who they are and introduce them to Mr. Guillotin’s invention. That would certainly change the peasants’ attitudes.

    Think about it.

A new blog with all sorts of things that might inspire some to comment.

This blog says things are just so good in the kingdom.

It’s a great way to get IP addresses and track people.

The great computer caper for the leaking of the mini knights height problem hasn’t been solved but a lot of computer tech time has been used, even by osmosis some people around the bunker could pick up on things, including the use of tracking software.

And what would happen, if, and I say if, because this is a hypothetical, everyone who has some issue with the king posts on the new blog and they find out who you are….wont they get the Guillotin?

Now for my end of the story. Someone steps forward and runs the king out of town, this person is ethical, moral, and just. The peasants are told of all the things the king did, and they banish him and his crooked family forever.

Oh and there is free cookies and ice cream for everyone.

  101. 101 1george1

  104. 104 jezebel282

Don’t you just LOVE Google Maps?

  105. I don’t believe the house belongs to him. He resides there, with his girlfriend, right?

  106. 106 1george1

Maybe someone is trying to raise money to do the right thing and make
restitution for people to get the tombstones they were owed?

  107. 107 nnanerak

George- exactly how would he do that? By stealing form Peter to pay Paul? He gets a salary every week and he should have been making resitiution from that a long time ago. I don’t care if he is homeless and starving because he has to pay those people back, it is his own fault for stealing from the hand that fed him. This is one situation where I have to agree with the general populations recommendatio-NO MERCY.

  108. 108 1george1

To any man made problem, there is usually a man made solution.
It is a matter of priority and will.

Perhaps my question was mostly rhettorical and partially based on the
theory of what people of good character would try to do.

Right now is an impossible borrowing time. However, If Dick Miron took
out a 6 figure Insurance policy naming Jim as the Beneficiary, and if Jim
borrowed money from Berchem or friends of Berchem with the insurance
as collateral, with enough money to pay back everyone, and escrow for
5 or 10 years of Insurance premiumus – who knows what could be done?

If political people spend as much time figuring out ways to solve problems,
instead of causing problems for them to profit from, Stratford’s Mil Rate
would be about 2/3rds what it is now.

As for stealing from Peter (Rome) to pay Paul (London) the pensions and
insurances among other benefits are causing enough budget havoc.

St Peter’s & St Paul’s are the respective cathedrals of each city.
NYC has St. Patrick’s. Venice (Marco Polo) has St. Mark’s (Marx)
Paris has Notre Dame. (or NOT RED, I love)

Did they wait to garnish his wages, until after he no longer had wages? 😉

And which attorney is representing Miron in most of these cases? Wait for it….Richard Buturla!

    Let’s do the math…at an average of $2,000 for each case….15 x $2,000 = $30,000.
    All from bereaved families.

That’s not counting The State of Connecticut v Lakeview Monument or the larceny arrest which is pending (again) on 12/17/2008 9:30 AM. The arrest was made on May 13, 2008. (That’s 7 months if you are keeping score). Merry Christmas Dick!

  112. 112 nnanerak

If in fact RB is representing daddy miron, I think the state bar ethics division might be very interested in this–sounds like grounds for a conflict of interest as he represents the town of Stratford. Does RB think that the Stratford taxpayers are going to foot this bill too???????????????????????? I DON’T THINK SO!!!!!!!!!! Just let him try to bill for it, we have George hot on the trail of all atty spending with his foi requests…..

  113. 113 jezebel282

    nnanerak,

“grounds for a conflict of interest as he represents the town of Stratford.”

You really think Buturla would charge Miron money? After all of our money Jimmy gave to Berchem Moses & Devlin for the last 3 years?

  114. 114 1george1

I do not know why Berchem didn’t pay this off himself?

They don’t need Dick Miron being leveraged, IF, IF , IF we had
honest people in the FBI / JUSTICE.

    W A T C H.

They could have arranged for $ 500,000 Insurance policy with Jim
    Miron as the beneficiary.

They could have arranged for a $ 400,000 loan with the Insurance
policy as collateral, and paid to a Trustee.

The Trustee would pay off the tombstones.
(Cheaper to buy them wholesale and deliver them than to pay
back the money. Due to large shipping order, the freigh bill per
    pound would be even lower.)

The Trustee could pay the Lawyer and Insurance premium for 10 years.

The Trustee could dole some money to Dick.

Dick would make the grievants whole, including lawyer fees, court
    costs, and some penalty.

When he died, his debt would be repaid by insrance money.

He could even have a little cash for his skating …..

I don’t hate any local yokel.
    I pity some of them.
Including some of those who think they got everything they wanted!

  115. 115 starlooker

Here is some info for all. when Miron KNEW his business was not doing well, when people passed, their families received a letter in the mail about getting their stone from Lakeview…… How sick is this. I had it done in my family and we did not need his service at all. I thank God we didn’t because I would of been one of the many. Isn’t this classified as a ambulance chaser? This means Dick Miron spent his time reading OBITS and looking the families up. My heart is still breaking for that Mother in Shelton who has a young son and he keeps asking, “Why Daddy does not have a stone?” If I had the money I would do it for this child. It is like get people when they are at their vulverable point in life. think about this little boy, think about the families…. this is a Pure SIN here……

  116. 116 jezebel282

    George,

“I do not know why Berchem didn’t pay this off himself?”

It can get pretty expensive cleaning up the filth the Mirons leave. $30,000 here, $28,000 there. Bankruptcies, looting pensions, bad loans, foreclosures, credit card defaults, divorces……

Hey Jimmy, how are we doing with Stepdad repaying his loan from the Town? On time?

  117. 117 mikereynolds

And the hits just keep on coming…..

BRIDGEPORT — Richard Miron, Stratford’s former Democratic registrar of voters, and the father of the town’s mayor, was arrested Saturday for allegedly stealing $85,000 from more than 50 people who wanted to buy gravestones from him and his former monument company.

The 72-year-old Miron, was charged with first-degree larceny. He was released after posting $10,000 bond pending arraignment in Superior Court on April 6.

It also mentions he lives on Capitol Ave. Since when did he move out of Patterson Ave? I always see his car with the S-6 license plate parked there.

  118. 118 citizenkane1

Thats where is “business” was. Thats a mistake.

  119. 119 jezebel282

Interesting note: Lakeview Monument is not a listed contributor to Miron’s campaign this time.

They were over the limit last time. Does it carry over?

  120. FYI ~ the Capital Ave address was where Lakeview Monument was. It’s not a residential address – I know the building it was in. We all know he lives (in sin) on Patterson Avenue!

  121. 121 1george1

    S – six license plate?

Phonetically it MIGHT sound a lot like …. “SICK”

    …..

STAR once again showed her class and empathy, being concerned
about grieving people who were wronged and deserve to be whole!

    ——

JEZE pointed out that it can be expensive cleaning up messes.

The Town Attorney Budget is so kited, in my opinion, that Berchump
could have had one of his associated law firms hire Dick as a consultant
for $ 150,000 a year, with 1/2 docked to be set aside to pay off the
grieving widows and to make them whole.
Even add in some to pay attorney fees.
Even add in some to pay for TERM LIFE Insurance with JIM as the
BENEFICIARY, so there would be guarenteed return of BRIBE…

I am sure they could find a legal way to do it, since I would NEVER
suggest doing anything ILLEGAL, IMMORAL, INDECENT, UNETHICAL.

Paying for the TOMSTONES and MAKING people WHOLE is
    DECENT
    Solves most LEGAL issues
Is the DECENT / HUMANE THING to do,
and IF border line ETHICAL, the END is ETHICAL and the means can
become ETHICAL, if properly thought out.

    Living in sin?

At 72, Dick appears to have his mojo ….
At least he has one satisfied customer?
