I can type it real slow so a sensitive person like you can understand it.

People who are not public figures have what’s called a “Right of Privacy”. That’s were you can’t publish personal information about private citizens. Elected officials, certain government employees, people in the public eye have chosen to make that information available. To publish personal information about private citizens by a government official (or at the direction of a government official) is a whole ‘nother legal problem.

As Justice Douglas stated in Griswold v. Connecticut (Freedomofspeach is going to love this)”in NAACP v. Alabama we protected the “freedom to associate and privacy in one’s associations,” noting that freedom of association was a peripheral First Amendment right. Disclosure of membership lists of a constitutionally valid association, we held, was invalid “as entailing the likelihood of a substantial restraint upon the exercise by petitioner’s members of their right to freedom of association.” Ibid. In other words, the First Amendment has a penumbra where privacy is protected from governmental intrusion. The right of “association,” like the right of belief (Board of Education v. Barnette, 319 U.S. 624), is more than the right to attend a meeting; it includes the right to express one’s attitudes or philosophies by membership in a group or by affiliation with it or by other lawful means. Association in that context is a form of expression of opinion; and while it is not expressly included in the First Amendment its existence is necessary in making the express guarantees fully meaningful.”

In other words, Sudds, you wouldn’t like it if someone published your name and address here (as well as that of Mrs. Sudds). I am simply not going to assist in the violation of anyone’s rights.

    Abortion… Racism… Associations??? (maybe Jez = George???)

So then this ISN’T about OfficerSean publishing (and then you deleting the post containing) your street address and how it relates to your Avatar ❓

Great post and texbook cases in general privacy laws for non public figures or officals.

Alleged name and street address. I have to say Jim AKA Offficersean has an assumption as to things, but can’t prove it, only insinuates it. He may be wrong, and he has been probing, guessing, and pushing buttons for a reaction. Even using people like George.

However, Jez clearly has the IP addresses for the posts, most likely coming from out of Fairfield and Waterbury. An advantage that he cannot have unless you guys post at the Observer.

No one cares who is who on this blog, or any other, only those who are concerned about their own problems coming to light in the public eye.

Might want to put that blogger on monitor so that nothing else in violation of the law and good taste gets posted here by those who wish to cause issues.

From what I understand the person (s) that Jim/Sean claims Jez to be are already in litigation with the town and him. Must be worried about losing and having to pay some big money, and be exposed. Looks like witness tampering to me.

  5. I wish people would get over who Jeze is already. I have met HER and we have had very extensive conversations about the anonymity. If Jeze were to actually post her photo along side her name, y’all would just fall over!

Officer Sean, who I don’t believe to be Jim Miron, although I do believe to be a Town employee, just pops in here to wreak havoc and then go away for a little while. Perhaps moving away from a good Stratford wi-fi location…..

I am not who Mayor Moron thinks I am. But if Mr. Blumstein could ever be talked into running for mayor, he is certainly getting a fine endorsement and publicity from Miron and the Mironistas.

When “Officer Sean” was posting as “Shing Light” and “Korea Boy” on Playwright’s blog, he posted Pat Sperling’s address too. Had I been the editor, I would have deleted that as well. If anyone posts your address, Sudds, I will delete that too (but only because Mrs. Sudds must be a saint and doesn’t deserve any more abuse).

“Might want to put that blogger on monitor so that nothing else in violation of the law and good taste gets posted here by those who wish to cause issues.”

I don’t believe in prior restraint either.
