No White Horses in Stratford

Fidelity, Bravery and what was that other one?

Fidelity, Bravery and what was that other one?

“Public corruption is one of the FBI’s top investigative priorities—behind only terrorism, espionage, and cyber crimes. Why? Because of its impact on our democracy and national security. Public corruption can affect everything from how well our borders are secured and our neighborhoods protected…to verdicts handed down in courts…to the quality of our roads and schools. And it takes a significant toll on our pocketbooks, too, siphoning off tax dollars.”

Rumors have been flying around for months that given the budget shenanigans, “conferences” attended at Town expense, unlimited legal billings, firings of qualified personnel, union busting and discrimination that someone is going to complain to the “Feds”. They will quickly investigate and justice will be served.

The reality is that after three full years of this, nothing has been done. Oh, plenty of complaints have been filed. Documents have been provided and testimony given. The result? Nothing. I will leave the “why” to George (on your own page, George.)

In the meantime, it remains that the responsibility for better government rests where it always rests; with the voters. In 10 months we can resolve this. While this blog is reluctant to support any candidate for mayor at this point, we can make one strong endorsement right now:

“Anyone but MIRON!”

Very interesting read on the FBI site. Read about Albert Robles from L.A. He wasn’t even the Mayor, he was the elected City Treasurer. Three bulleted points of his corruption:

“Firing city hall employees at will, replacing them with supporters who had little experience;”

“Recruiting and bankrolling unqualified local supporters for city council until he controlled the council; and ”

“Threatening anyone who stood in his way (suspiciously, one of his adversaries on the city council was shot in the head.”

I don’t think anyone’s been shot dead, but there seems to have been many threats and retaliatory acts in Stratford for people who stood in Miron’s ways. There’s also a few “controlled” council members (I’ll try not to call them puppets) on the democratic side, right?

So, aside from the dead body, what’s different in Stratford?

  2. 2 jezebel282

He didn’t funnel millions of dollars to the Chief of Police’s brother. All that Homeland Security consulting comes in handy when you’re dealing with Federal employees, doesn’t it?

“Threatening anyone who stood in his way (suspiciously, one of his adversaries on the city council was shot in the head.”) Uh oooh?

I only claimed 14 of 16 people who died in 18 month period, who under apparent natural causes, had any possibility of being a crime?
The other 2 were actually murdered.
There is a claim the cases were solved and no relationships.

I don’t think anyone’s been shot dead, but there seems to have been

I can list people who had a barn burned, car burned, pool liner
    slashed, and different auto “accidents.”

I can list 14 of 16 people, in a narrow circle, dying in 18 months of
“apparent natural causes” consistent with known police pathologies,
for murder using organiic toxins and facilitators.

I could list people in both parties who ran for office and had threats,
including some that were reported in the newspapers.

When you contact FBI, ask for DON COMERS.

He started his Police Career in 1980.
Wasn’t Joe Burturla a Police Captain, retiring in 1985?
Special Agent – cohead of Bridgeport – Comer’s dad is a Fairfield Police Captain.

Please advise me about the Warrant the F. B. I. will create… 8)

I handed a Stratford Packet to U. S. Attorney Kevin O’Conner a couple years ago.
    He was promoted to # 3 in the entire U. S. Attorney’s office. 😦
He is from DAY BERRY – same as his replacement NOra Daherty, and as Emil Frankel…

Rumor that I am starting is that he has weekly Brunch with George Mulligan,
who is the Military liaison to the White House and in charge of such things
as the Presidential and VP Helicopters…. 8)

I’m going to let you handle the FBI and related issues.

It is apparent to everyone else that the FBI has no interest in Stratford or, if they did, that they will to do anything about it.

At Public Forum, I spoke to the specific Town Councilors, by name,
who were present about the un-named police officer’s situation.

    Where were you?

Where were all of the people on the blog who supposedly support him?

If you had 20 or 30 people speak at Public Forum on his behalf:
    – No one would be able to specifically ID Jeze or anyone else.
    – The Police Officer would have gotten Press Coverage, even if it was
only 4 or 5 who spoke about the alledged maltreatment.
    – You and I both know that Weizel will cover certain issues which
co-incide with some of your issues.
    (no details – advance knowledge)

  7. Where were all of the people on the blog who supposedly support him?

As I posted ~ my inability to attend should absolutely not be construed as my lack of caring or support. Family takes priority over everything else.

  8. 8 nnanerak

In addition to family first many of us work for a living….Council members read the blog, so does the press….they know how we feel yet they still do nothing, though I hear Gavin and Tom M. are trying to work on it.

  9. 9 1george1

Generally people who serve on the Council are decent and well intentioned
people, when you get them outside of certain political decisions.

It would be unhealthy if everybody agreed on everything.

    There are legitimate political difference.

Months ago, I had a particularly effective Public Forum.
Jim Miron made an excellent speach about “representative government.”
It was so good that Gavin came out and seconded the sentiments and
stated that normally he does not agree with the Mayor.

I would LOVE to agree with Jim Miron’s speach on Representative
Government, which is an ideal towards “… a more perfect union …”
” … with just concent of the governed … ”

    However –

    “This IS Stratford.”

In Stratford and everywhere in the USA, there has been intentional
partisan favortism breaking the viability of “representative government”
with the present set of representatives ….
and their puppet masters at the national / state / area levels…

I failed to make george’s page a “favorite.”

A jewish friend sent me this, which may be enjoyed by jewish
and other bloggers. I sent back comments pro + con.
Not intent to disparage noted difference between jew and jewish…
Just a grammar perception on my part…

This is why I love being a Jew: Written by Dan Sporn a friend of Ilan’s from Israel:>
    > Our condition has never been better than it is now! Only the television
    > and the media make people think that the end of the world is near.
    > Only 65 years ago, Jews were brought to death like sheep to slaughter.
    > NO country, NO army.
    > Only 60 years ago, seven Arab countries declared war on little Israel,
    > the Jewish state, just a few hours after it was established.>
    > We were 650,000 Jews against the rest of the Arab world. No IDF
    > (Israeli Defense Forces) or Air Force. We were only a small group of
    > stubborn people with nowhere to go.>
    > Remember : Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Egypt, Libya, and Saudi
    > Arabia, they all attacked at once. The state that the United Nations
    > “gave” us was 65% desert. We started it from zero.>
    > Only 41 years ago, we fought three of the strongest countries in the Middle East, and we crushed them in the Six Day War.
    > Over the years we fought different coalitions of Arab countries with modern
    > armies and huge amounts of Russian-Soviet ammunition, and we still won.
    > Today we have a beautiful country, powerful army, strong air force, and
    > a thriving high tech industry. Intel, Microsoft, and I.B.M. all develop
    > their business here.
    > Our doctors have won important prizes in the medical development field.>
    > We turn desert into prosperous land.>
    > We sell oranges, flowers, and vegetables around the world.>
    > We launched our own satellite! Three satellites at once! We are in good
    > company; together with the USA (280 million residents), Russia (220
    > million residents), China (1.3 billion residents) and Europe (France,
    > England and Germany – 35 million residents), we are one of the only
    > countries in the world that have launched something into space!>
    > Israel today is among the few powerful countries that have nuclear
    > technology & capabilities .
    > ( we will never admit it, but everyone knows )
    > To think that only 65 years ago we were disgraced and hopeless.
    > We crawl out form the burning crematoriums of Europe ,
    > we won in all our wars ,
    > With little bit of nothing and we build us an empire from nothing .
    > Who are Khaled Mashal (leader of Hamas) or
    > Hassan Nasrallah (leader of Hezbollah) try and frighten us?
    > They are amusing us.
    > As we celebrate Independence Day, let’s not forget what this
    > holy day is all about; we overcame everything.
    > We overcame the Greeks,
    > We overcame the Romans,
    > We overcame the Spanish Inquisition,
    > We overcame the Russians pogrom
    > We overcame Hitler, we overcame Germany, we overcame the Holocaust,
    > We overcame the armies of seven countries.>
    > Relax chevray (friends), we will overcome our current enemies.>
    > Never mind where you look in human history. Think about it,
    > the Jewish nation, our condition has never been better than now.
    > So let’s lift our heads up and remember:
    > Never mind which country or culture tries to harm us or erase us
    > from the world. We will still exist and persevere.
    > Egypt? Anyone know where the Egyptian empire disappeared to?
    > The> Greeks? Alexander Macedon? The Romans?
    > Is anyone speaking Latin today?
    > The third Reich? Did anyone hear news from them lately?
    > And look at us, the Bible nation – from slavery in Egypt, we are still
    > here, still speaking the same language. Exactly here, exactly now.
    > Maybe The Arabs don’t know it yet, but we are eternal nation.
    > All the time that we will keep ours identity , we will stay eternal .
    > So, sorry that we are not worrying, complaining, crying, or fearing…
    > Business here is beseder (fine). It can definitely be much better, but
    > it is still fine. Don’t pay attention to the nonsense in the media,
    > they will not tell you about our festivals here in Israel or about the
    > people that continue living, going out, meeting friends.>
    > Yes, sometimes morale is down, so what? This is only because we are
    > mourning the dead while they are celebrating spilled blood. And this is
    > the reason we will win after all.
    > Please forward this email to all of your Jew friends everywhere in the
    > world. You are all part of our force to keep our existence.
    > This email may help some of us lift our heads up and be proud to say:
    > I AM A JEW and not Jew-ISH.
    > Happy Independence Day.

    George’s only comment:
Depending on perspectives, there are some points where some pride and
perspectives are extremely justified and othe places where they might be
misplaced? However, I thought some people might appreciate the post?

    “Where were you?”

Out of town. Just got back.

  12. 12 1george1

Jeze must have computer access whereever she went out of town,
missing the T C Meeting / public forum

A little more info from a call I just got ~ the TC cannot go in to executive session on this and make any decision. It’s got to go through the Pension Board and they’ve been given more than 70 pages worth of documents which they must review before any decision can be made by them.

The Pension Board has had this since Oct 08. Officer O’Meara cannot get any doctor to certify him as well enough to return to duty.

It simply begs the question of why the delay.

It also makes you wonder why Officer O’Meara’s status was changed from injury in the line of duty to “sick time”.

Jeze ~ it sounded like they had no information on any of this. I’m not sure where the hold up was – but probably in HR. As you know, there’s been some turnaround in that department and I’m sure the DC’s wife wasn’t going to put a file together for them to review before she was told she had to.

I think this has been more mishandled by the HR department (Winterbottom and LoSchiavo) and the PD (LoSchiavo) since they should’ve been getting a package together for the people who need to make the pension decision.

Believe me, I do care. It’s disgusting the way some of the people have been treated in this Town. Unfortunately, right now, I have to prioritize my time, and attending the TC meetings aren’t a priority. My inability to attend and personally speak out certainly should not be construed as a lack of caring or willingness to work to see that the wrongs are righted.

We know what B. S. stands for.

Then M. S. is More of Same.

    P. H. D is simply Piled Higher and Deeper

of course M. B. A. means Mucho Bull Artist.

I fell asleep at one of the Budget Workshops.
It was a better use of my Time.

I found the Town Council and Administration have a secret plan
to bail out the Pension Fund. It is called: POWER BALL.
