Exit Plan

The Miron Method

Not that we want to give anyone ideas, especially those who have already had the idea, but the residents, businesses and employees of the Town of Stratford have waited four very long years for this.

We have been asked if we think Miron will show up at the swearing in of Mayor Harkins. Honestly, what difference would it make? We think it will be extremely unlikely that Miron will ever hold a government position again….especially in Stratford. If he does happen to show up, it will be to utter silence or a chorus of jeers.

There is no doubt that Miron will appear in a government proceeding again, but it will be in the role of “defendant”.

Once again, we hope that the Democratic Town Committee goes through a similar cleansing after their humiliating defeat on Nov 3. It is up to them to learn that Miron’s way didn’t work.

We also hope that the remnants of Miron’s mismanagement can be dealt with swiftly and confidence and pride can be restored to our Emergency Services and Public Works.

Dec 14th can’t come fast enough.

There are tremors in the force.

A dark presence can be felt.

It is not what it appears to be.

  2. 2 rex525

Tar and feathering would be too good for him and given his need for attention he just may enjoy it. I suggest a speedy trial and solitary confinement in a padded cell lined with the photos of all the people who’s lives he’s negitively impacted. With the 50,000 plus residents and all of the town employees and it would have to be a big cell (although, we could eliminate the photos of all those that voted for him either time, except your photo Jez…yours would be poster sized).

  3. 3 phineast

For Pete’s sake George, get a grip. This is one of the reasons Jez puts you on your own page, saves us the pain.

  4. 4 phineast

rex- In this situation I’d personally be a fan of the old ways..like if a jury of Stratford taxpayers convicted him they have have the choice of solitary or 100 lashes followed by solitary….seems to me the lashes would have more meaning to the victims.

  5. 5 1george1

Apparently you are unaware of certain e-addresses

and what the script writers have in store for the

    Stratford stage …

In the U.S. and Canada, grips are lighting and rigging
technicians in the film and video industries. They
make up their own department on a film set and are
led by a key grip. Grips have two main functions.
The first is to work closely with the camera department,
especially if the camera is mounted to a dolly, crane or
other unusual position. Some grips may specialize in
operating camera dollies or camera cranes.
The second is to work closely with the electrical depart
ment to put in the lighting set-ups necessary for a shot.

    Corporal punishment (Judaism) –
    Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
There was only one form corporal punishment – lashes (malkoth).
The maximum number of lashes allowed per sentence was 40,
    given in multiples of 3.

If anything was calculated to brutalize an army it was the wicked
cruelty of the British military punishment code, which Wellington
to the end of his life supported …… often turned thereby from a
good soldier into a bad soldier, by losing his self-respect and having
his sense of justice seared out. Good officers knew this well enough..

Meanwhile, during the French Revolutionary Wars the French Army
    stopped floggings altogether.

The King’s German Legion (KGL), which were German units in British
    pay, did not flog.

  6. 6 phineast

All this time I thought flogging was a “pirate” thing…you know, flog’m and make him walk the plank……

  7. 7 jezebel282

“flog’m and make him walk the plank……”

We may have a problem with the original solution. I checked Bridgeport, Trumbull, Shelton and Milford. They all have littering ordinances. Dumping Miron just over the border might be illegal.

Say, wait a minute, maybe a plank at the seawall? No…the tar would pollute the Sound. Maybe there’s a spot at the SAEP?

    I found this on web.
I projected to Miron / Berchem

John Pistone was among the U.S. soldiers who entered Adolf Hitler’s
home nestled in the Bavarian Alps as the war came to a close.

Making his way through the Berghof, Hitler’s home near Berchtesgaden,
Germany, Pistone noticed a table with shelves underneath.
Exhilarated by the certainty of victory over the Nazis, Pistone took an
album filled with photographs of paintings as a souvenir.

Note the first 5 letters and 6 out of first 7 letters of Berchem name is
an exact match to Der Fuhrergaden home?
It is NOT CODE, just a co-winkydink?

Berchem is also a Belgium city near Antwerp.

    It lead me to wondering?
I wonder if Jim Miron has a photo album of accomplishments?
I wonder if Jim Miron plans a commemorative Library like Presidents
and other History changing people have created to memorialize them?
Will we have Town Building named for Dick & Jim Miron / Burturlas /

  9. 9 sudds

    To paraphrase…

Note the first letter out of first 8 letters of Mulligan’s name is
    an exact match to Moron?
It is NOT CODE, just a co-winkydink?

I am strongly urging the new town council to get a search warrant and go to Miron’s home, because there are presumably many things belonging to our town and paid for with taxpayer’s money that have found there way there. I don’t trust him from here to the next block. Our town is so happy now and the town employees are so excited with Miron being voted out of office. Like I keep saying, Berchum, Moses, and Devlin should give him a job, considering all the money they made from our town as a result of Miron and Burtula. They have one such lawyer that they made a partner and bought a car for him because he got into a position in our town, and was able to send them many cases. To me, that is a conflict of interest, but some of the lawyers we have out there today don’t think so. They are the ones who are really hurting that profession badly. We need more attorneys like David Goldstein, Sam Liskov, and Louie Stein. These were top attorneys in our state. There were many more at that time in history. Today is is frightening because lawyers want to make a quick dollar and they no longer care to take on cases and prove who is right and who is wrong if they require a lot of work.

  11. 11 jezebel282

“I am strongly urging the new town council to get a search warrant”

First Mayor Harkins has to get rid of John Buturla so they can get a search warrant (they may want to include his “other” address in Shelton).

“Berchum, Moses, and Devlin should give him a job,”

I think you’ll see Buturla cut Miron loose. Buturla will do anything for the right fee, but Miron isn’t paying him anymore. Law firms tend to hire lawyers that bring in money. Miron has never done that. They tried with Kent Miller (who is still representing the Town, by the way) and got rid of him.

John Harkins would be well advised to shut the Town spigot off for Berchem Moses & Devlin. I’m sure Mr. Harkins is aware (at least I hope he is) that the only reason there are lawyers and courts at all is because two sides are unable to sit in a room and negotiate. For the past four years everything has been lawsuits, grievances, FOI requests, FOI appeals and lousy contracts. Not what anyone would call our money’s worth at $1+ million/year.

  12. 12 sylvia67

You are absolutely correct. I am hoping this town doesn’t ever use Berchem, Moses, and Devlin, again. They seem to have every community tied-up and I am wondering why and how. The schools use them also. I am not at all impressed and hope that Bishop knows better then to send this firm work. If I find out they are getting cases from our town, I am going to expose it without question. It is awful what is going on in the legal profession. I have had several of my friends and a family member leave the profession and if you hear what they have to say it doesn’t speak well for some of the judges either.

  13. 13 phineast

You have to know what is missing in order to file a complaint that would result in a search warrant. If you know what is missing or that he has spent taxpayer dollars on that he is keeping for personal use start filing your complaints…there are lots of addresses that should be list not just 2….

The money spigot should also be shut of for Miller also. I would like to see a monthly accounting of the TA office posted on the net. I am certain that the billing differences will be evident immediately. Just curious, is the former TA taking his secretary???? Maybe he should, according to her he walks on H2O.

  14. 14 jezebel282

“If you know what is missing or that he has spent taxpayer dollars on that he is keeping for personal use”

My first guess would be any amount left in his checking/savings account. $90,000/year for what we got is highway robbery.

Then I would go for anything he wears or carries on his person.

Finally, any property contained in his residence or that has wheels.

At least we don’t have to repossess his teeth like we’ll have to do with Loschiavo.

  15. 15 1george1

Does the above mean that SUDDS is a DRUNK, based on cartoon
    & name d blog??

  16. 16 1george1

    Phin –
The Town does NOT have ANY OPEN TOWN ATTORNEY CASES as of the summer,
according to my questions to Town Clerk Pawluk.

If they are not placed in Town Clerks Computer as of Dec 15, and because all of
the work was paid for (double / triple billing?) those open cases belong to the
Town of Stratford and the Tax Payers.

Would that qualify for a Warrant?

Burturla admitted in front of the Budget workshop that all open cases he handles
    are in his PC.

I agree with Syl + Jeze about the Berchem ….

Will Harkins appointee Tim Bishop continue to retain Burturla/Berchem?
    I believe he will.
Harkins has the power / right to direct him otherwise.

Let’s watch and I hope I am proven wrong?

  17. 17 1george1

    Oh suddsie baby.
there are no “o” or “r” in Mulligan
must be a drunken stupor or stupid drunk? 😉

  18. 18 1george1

    Broncos stink. 🙂

Do you want to name call ?

Or do you want to debate issues flathead?

  19. 19 jezebel282

“Do you want to name call ?”

Coming from someone who recently called this editor and the readers of this blog “Nazis”, it is hardly appropriate for you to object to name calling.

Let’s keep it relevant, shall we?

  20. 20 jezebel282

Tomorrow is Mayor Moron’s last “workday” in Town Hall. Not that anyone expects him to actually be in Town Hall (it’s a Friday, you know), but we hope he has left his keys, Town vehicle, laptop and Blackberry with someone sort of trustworthy. We also hope that IT has backed up as much data as possible and disabled Miron’s access. That done, we fully anticipate he will simply slither away.

After four years of tirades, rants, vulgarity and bullying, slithering away seems to be what we can expect. We do not believe he will show up at Mayor Harkins inauguration for two reasons: 1. He won’t be on the Town clock anymore and 2. He will probably be humiliated by the jeers or silence.

Just as well. We will be hearing about Miron for quite a while due to the leftover lawsuits, bad contracts, grievances, audits and the incompetent and dishonest department heads that have not resigned yet.

Harkins has much work to do and we hope he celebrates his victory well and truly. We know we will. And then the work starts…..

  21. 22 sylvia67

This town better not send anymore cases to Berchum, Moses, and Devlin once John Harkins takes over. If somehow they do sneak back in, you can be assured that I will not stop exposing their dealings. This has to stop! The town’s legal needs should be handled by the town’s attorney. If special expertise beyond the town attorney’s knowledge is needed on a particular case, than that business should go to firms in town that pay taxes here, and not to firms outside our community like just to keep an attorney who lives here in a job.

  22. 23 jezebel282

I agree with you. However if you look at http://www.jud.ct.gov/ and just type in “Stratford” you will find dozens and dozens of cases where Berchem Moses and Devlin are the attorney of record for the Town. Everything from slip & fall to tax collection to discrimination suits. And that’s only CT court, it doesn’t include Federal Court. Quite a nice revenue stream at $350/hour.

  23. 24 1george1

    Jeze + Syl + others

    Happy Hanukkah.
    (apologies on spelling)

    Why not expose Berchem anyway?
    Why not expose Kelly?
Why not expose every illegal, unethical, and immoral action?

  24. 25 jezebel282

    Spam removed from Town website!

It looks like the archives have been disabled and we can’t look back at Mayor Moron’s photo gallery.

Perhaps the Town website will be transformed into an informative site rather than an alternative to Miron’s Facebook page.

  25. 26 mikereynolds

Even the Mayor link is blank. Gee, what a shame.

  26. 27 starlooker

Tonight is the start of a whole new Stratford. Lets hope for once we move foward.

  27. 28 phineast

Tonight IS the start of a new era, you are correct….Miron’s name is being erased, per order of the new Mayor! Now if we can only do that to all the damage he caused…….
Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of our lives!!
