Jezebel’s Wage Prediction

01Mar12

Where's the missing one?

We will soon be apprised of the top wage earners in Stratford. My prediction is that we will be aghast and outraged at the six figure salaries earned by some Town employees. My prediction is that the top ten will include BOE administrators, principals and maybe a teacher or two. The list will also include firefighters and police officers. It always does.

But here is the biggest mystery. Who is not on the list? My prediction is that the Town Attorney (and friends) will be missing. There will be nary a mention of the hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars paid to someone who won’t be on the list. Neither will payments to “consultants”. Will we ever know how many hours (at $150/hour) the Town was billed for the Town Attorneys time? Maybe someday. That someday will be when an independent mayor orders a forensic audit.

Town Attorneys are independent contractors, despite having
and office with a very well paid secretary with benefits.

Further the expenses and other costs covered are worth …..
Where is that estimated list I posted recently on Jeze’s blog.

Jeze & I agree on a few things.
    Actually more than a few.
Usually for similar, but different, reasons …

    George,

“Usually for similar, but different, reasons …”

    Whew!

    Whew is better than Phew!

  4. 4 jezebel282

    George,

    “Town Attorneys are independent contractors,”

Ain’t it great to be a private contractor who’s position is written into the Town Charter?

  5. 5 1george1

    Preaching to the choir?

Esq Florek happened to Chair Town Charter Revision
    Commission # 2.
I think Miron Burturla paid him maybe $ 45,000 that year?

Florek is never very high among Town Attorney pay.
Who knows how much work his firm gets from certain
other firms and/or allies of same?
    – Plausible deniability?

Kevin Kelly’s Brother in Law was on TC CRC # 1,
    while Kelly was Town Attorney.
Now his partner Tim BIshop is Town Attorney.

Esq Burturla & firm made many hundreds of thousands
or millions while Kelly & Bishop were/are Town Attorney.

While Esq Burturla & firm made over $ 2.2 million from
Mayor Miron, Kelly was paid over $ 625,000 from his
future opponent for Hartford Seat, Kevin Kelly.

    It’s musical chairs
    without the music.

    Quid pro quo?

Maybe the all earn everything they were paid?
I can’t say yes or no?
I have never heard any Town Attorney justify their Budget?

Ray Voccola mentioned something about double billing
    related to certain people?

Jeze would you like to bill whatever you want,
and never have to justify it to anyone?

  6. 6 jezebel282

    George,

“Jeze would you like to bill whatever you want,
and never have to justify it to anyone?”

    Yes, please.

  7. 7 1george1

Someone may be replacing the 3rd or 4th highest compensated
    in all of Stratford, behind
    TWO LAW FIRMS?
    SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT?

    Jeze,

By June, which 3 couples will be drawing the highest revenue
from the Town & BoE from their retirements and ongoing
    employment (in one person’s case)?

HINT: They are people we like and whose work we respect.

    3 couples.
1 set will retire over $ 250,000 in Household Pensions
2 sets will retire over $ 140,000 in Household Pensions
    – One member of these 2 couple would be paid over $ 70,000
in addition to the Household Pensions noted.

The way I hear it …even the Attorneys are envious?
The attorneys don’t get the $ 20,000 annual health benefits

Hey PORTIA, SUDDS, RON, .. CHRIS, ANYONE?
    > These aren’t even WAGES.
    > They’re PENSIONS.
    * Some of these PENSIONS were earned sleeping on the JOB.
(Legitimate part of the job description)

    Gaming the SYSTEM?

    Who’d like $ 140,000 annual household pension + 87% Healthcare paid?

    Who’d like $ 250,000 annual household pension + 87% Healthcare paid?

    And still work ….

  9. 9 1george1

    Corrections

    Couples
    # 1 = $ 230 – $ 250,000 range
    # 2 = over $ 130,000
    # 3 = over $ 106,000 & estimated $ 70,000 Town or BoE job

    Each is entitled to healthcare.

These are just ones couple & individuals I know w PENSION $.

There are others where lifetime contribution didn’t match one
    year’s pension ….. as individuals.

There are others where lifetime contribution didn’t match two
    year’s pension ….. as individuals.

There are others where lifetime contribution didn’t match three
    year’s pension ….. as individuals.

Most pensions have matching employer contributions and the
    money grows from investments.
However the # 1 PENSION – soon to be # 2, put in under
    $ 96,000 net in 27 years for $ 134,500 PENSION on Base
    Pay of $ 84,850.
At 30 years, if he lives, that is over $ 4,000,000 pensioned
    for $ 96,000 invested.

These people aren’t math majors, except to figure out how
    to maximize their situation.

    I KNOW $ 13,000 on social security or $ 26,000 pension,
Sikorsky are not capable of sustaining many people unless
they have no mortgages & reasonable property taxes…

    I favor good
    pay
    benefits
    pensions.

    However, will this be sustainable?

This has nothing to do with the fact that these people are
    sociable and professionally capable.

If NO TAX PAYER MONEY was USED – IT COULD BE AS
    HIGH AS THEY WANT.

We are looking at $ 750,000,000 for under 800 people.

  10. 10 jezebel282

    George,

Since you are being a not-surprisingly mysterious, I must ask how many years each individual of each couple worked for the Town and why should they be penalized more than any other employee for having been married to each other?

I do not believe the issue is their marriages but the negotiated contracts they worked under. I imagine that any other enterprise larger than say, 100 people, will have married couples working at the same enterprise.

  11. 11 1george1

    The issues are NOT
    * Marriage
    * Competence

    The issues are
    * contractual integrity
    * fiduciary obligations,
    * consistentcy with equal protection of the law,
    * Consistnetcy with equal opportunity.

Contracts are voidable if they are P R O V E N to be FRAUDULENT
    or CONSPIRACY. QUID pro QUO?
    Hypothetical Examples:
    * Lawyers protect police, for 1000% fee increase
    * Police protect lawyers, for 400% PENSIONS above contribution
    * Lawyers & police protect fire for deniability and silence.
    * Lawyers, police, fire, and others protect political patrons, who
arrange elections of people who subsequently get government
jobs in stratford or elesewhere or whose family members already
enjoy same or retired with excessive pay & benefits?

Do you know A N Y private sector LAWYER, MANAGEMENT TEAM
and appropriate FIDUCIARY PEOPLE who would NEGOTIATE a
DEFINED BENEFIT PENSION Plan giving workers PENSIONS:
    * 200% over BASE PAY + Healthcare @ 50% over Market Costs?
    * 150% over BASE PAY + Healthcare @ 50% over Market Costs?
    * 100% over BASE PAY + Healthcare @ 50% over Market Costs?
    * 80% over BASE PAY + Healthcare @ 50% over Market Costs?
    * 60% over BASE PAY + Healthcare @ 50% over Market Costs?
    * 40% over BASE PAY + Healthcare @ 50% over Market Costs?

Only corrupt Senators, Congress, Wall Street & Insiders are seeing
    these type of HOG RULE.

Since when are Managment, who are mostly salary in Private Sector
also union people, in the same union as craft?

JEZE – When the peole noted are MIRON SUPPORTERS, which there are,
    you and supporters are outraged.

conversely, when they are your friends and allies, you are outraged
    to support them?

Is that an inaccurate portrayal of your positions?

Don’t do as I do … Do as I say? Me DICI?

“* Some of these PENSIONS were earned sleeping on the JOB.
(Legitimate part of the job description)”

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot??? HOW DO I APPLY???

  13. 13 jezebel282

    George,

    “The issues are NOT
    * Marriage
    * Competence”

You made the point about couples. I was just clarifying.

“When the peole noted are MIRON SUPPORTERS, which there are,
    you and supporters are outraged.”

Well, you haven’t noted anyone. We are left to guess from your posts to whom you are referring. Personally, I think that whoever negotiated pensions at any rate above 100% should be arrested.

    Sudds,

“Whiskey Tango Foxtrot??? HOW DO I APPLY???”

Fill out the application, pass the written and CPAT tests, become an EMT, graduate from the academy and run into burning buildings, car fires, chemical spills and collapses on a regular basis. No problem.

  14. 14 sudds

“a regular basis”… you DO realize that this is Stratford we’re talking about, and NOT an episode of “Rescue Me”, right???

PS… you left off the part about the “pizza runs” to Vazzy’s!!! 😛

  15. 15 jezebel282

    Sudds,

“you left off the part about the “pizza runs” to Vazzy’s!!! :

Perhaps. But logistically I would rather have a whole crew together than 1 or 2 of them missing if a call comes in. It’s not like the calls are scheduled.

I would also suggest you log onto:
    http://www.radioreference.com/apps/audio/?feedId=5712

And listen to the Fire &EMS calls to get a sense of what they do while your at your desk.

  16. 16 sudds

“But logistically I would rather have a whole crew together than 1 or 2 of them missing if a call comes in. It’s not like the calls are scheduled.”

I’d rather have them call for delivery so that they are not putting wear&tear on OUR firetrucks!!!

“to get a sense of what they do while your at your desk”

Does the stream cover a broadcast from when they are in the kitchen practicing for their big competitions???

  18. 18 1george1

    Don’t get me wrong… I am NOT anti-firefighters…
I am just anti-exploitation fo the system!

    EXACTLY my POINT.

I would love for everybody to get $ 40,000 social security
    and pensions.
Yet based on the way our economy is presently set up ….
    HOW IS THIS SUSTAINABLE.

I am NOT anti POLICE – NOT anti FIRE –
NOT against COUPLES working for and retiring from Government.
    NOT questioning competence.

    Sudds, beautiful baby.

  19. 19 sudds

    “Sudds, beautiful baby.”

    Thanks George!

  20. 20 jezebel282

    Sudds,

“Does the stream cover a broadcast from when they are in the kitchen practicing for their big competitions???”

    Sigh….
    Really?

It also doesn’t cover broadcasts of their demonstrations and programs for elementary school kids or their fundraisers for burn victims. What’s with you and mealtimes?

    George,

“I would love for everybody to get $ 40,000 social security
    and pensions.”

Before the economy tanked and everyone was gainfully employed (remember 2% unemployment in CT?) a public sector job like firefighter or cop was pretty low on on the comparative pay scale. The benefits and pensions were the way municipal governments attracted recruits. Now that the economy has gone South and Far East and unemployment is at 15%+, those jobs look really really good and the benefits and pension look exorbitant.

The squeeze we are in is due to private income either stopping or not having risen in more than a dozen years. It will only get worse as people leave Stratford for employment or retirement simply because it is way too expensive to live here.

Of course, as this topic indicates, that does not stop certain politicians from bleeding as much as they can while they can from our purses.

  21. 21 1george1

    Jeze,
The PENSIONS were out of control from the LATE 90s, when
    everything was great for everyone.
    Winter 1998 I paid 58, 60, 62 cents a gallon for Heating Oil
Each of the last 6 winters in increased 50 cents a gallon.

This is despite the virgin IRAQ OIL fields.
Even CHRIS MATTHEWS lambasted the POLITICAL PARTIES.

I was making an issue of the PENSIONS – 3 YEARS before the MIRON
    CURTAIN goosed the PENSIONS.
Gavin served on Council 6 years, including 2 before Miron elected.
That was THE biggest PENSION SPURT = Mostly people hired during
    J O E BURTURLA’S LAST 10 YEARS, which were also the COCAINE
YEARS and certain MAFIA owned the NIGHTCLUB @ AIRPORT.

Dr. MLK Jr. Marched in 1967 for BIRMINGHAM GARBAGE MEN to get
a WAGE above the POVERTY LEVEL.

Read and listen to his MOUNTAINTOP SPEECH.
You can comprehend, hear, and see, HE KNEW he was about to DIE.
He was MURDERED on the first anniversary of his coming out against
the WAR in VIETNAM and AGAINST ALL WARS.

The F.B.I. has daily logs, tapes, monitoring him and claiming marital
infedelity – yet they stood by and let him get shot or MURDERED him!

Slowly there were improvrment in pay for governemtn workers.
I started the USPS Sept 1971. My pay was $ 2.37 an hour.
    Under $ 100 a week for 40 hours.

The mid 1970s OIL shock caused INFLATION and necessitated decent pay.

The people who murdered MLK Jr. saw their PAY & PENSIONS increase

  23. 23 jezebel282

    Ummm…..

    “48 John A. Harkins Stratford Mayor $111,769”

    Does the mayor get OT?

  24. 24 rex525

Ummm…Jez you forgot the Town attorney (and friends)

Bishop, Jackson & Kelly- this year $700,000.00
(total for the last 5 years is $1,650,000.00)

Berchem, Moses & Devlin- this year $375,000.00
(total for the last 5 years is $2,700,000)

that’s a total of FOUR MILLION, THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS!

That total is just for the two big firms, there are also many smaller firms on the dole who are politically connected bottom feeders. Tom Cotter, John Florek and Kent Miller instantly come to mind. I didn’t see their figures, but it’s just easier to blame the cops, firemen, teachers and unions for our problems anyhow.

  25. 25 jezebel282

    Rex,

If you scroll back to the start of this topic you will see “But here is the biggest mystery. Who is not on the list? My prediction is that the Town Attorney (and friends) will be missing. There will be nary a mention of the hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars paid to someone who won’t be on the list.”

“but it’s just easier to blame the cops, firemen, teachers and unions for our problems anyhow.”

I don’t recall doing that. What I do recall is blaming the administration of this Town. I have noted (ad nauseum) the failure of Harkins/Ing to resolve the obviously wrong suspension of officers Joe McNeil and Orlando Soto. I have also noted (repeatedly) the failure of Harkins/Ing to resolve the Assistant Fire Chief vacancies after the retirement of Ass’t Chiefs Ellen Murray and Dan Ross. How hard was it for Ing to divide 168 hours/week by 2? And to then fumble that and have to appoint three more Ass’t Chiefs instead of 2? Or even take note that a dispatcher (starting salary of approx $49K) was on track to gross $180,000?

These are not union issues. These are management issues and ANY executive in private industry would be fired on the spot for any one of these errors…not given a raise.

Don’t get me started on the absolute lack of control of attorney fees….

  26. 26 sudds

While this entire list makes me want to vomit, want to know what “irks” me the most???

Whenever you hear from Fireman/Police/BOE employees… all you ever hear about is how they “do what they do to provide a service to the community”…

    I say HOGWASH!!!

Looking at this list, they are CLEARLY doing their “jobs” for the MONEY!!!

  27. 27 sudds

PS… the fact that there are 15+ members of the BOE on this list… yet they recently had the audacity to talk about closing a school(s) because of costs is actually LAUGHABLE!!!

  28. 28 jezebel282

    Sudds,

“want to know what “irks” me the most???”

It might be of more interest to know what doesn’t irk you.

In any event, with an 8-2 majority on the Council do not look for anything to change anytime soon. With the RTC in firm control and the DTC simply not a credible organization, it is extremely doubtful any serious budget discussions will take place at all.

Look for more HR mistakes and more attorney fees.

  29. 29 sudds

“It might be of more interest to know what doesn’t irk you.”

  30. 30 nunya1

SURPRISE!!! EACH AND EVERY PERSON ON THE LIST IS A UNION MEMBER….. UNIONS THAT NEGOTIATE BEHIND CLOSE DOORS WIITH TAXPAYERS MONEY……. THIS DOES NOT GET MUCH CLOSER TO “TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION”………..

THE ONLY THING WORSE ABOUT THESE DISPICABLE AND UNSUSTAINABLE SALARIES, IS THE BRAIN DEAD TAXPAYER / COMMUNITY THAT ALLOW SAME!!!!

  31. 31 nunya1

THE ONLY PERSON NOT ON THE LIST IS SUPERITENDENT CORNISH…… WHAT IS DISPICABLE ABOUT HER CONTRATC IS THAT SHE NEGOTIATED A 1 YEAR DEAL WITH HER “RUBBER STAMP” USELESS BOE…… 1 YEAR CONTRACTS SHOULD NEVER BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSTION….. 1 YEAR CONTRACTS SUGGEST A (NOT) “ALL IN” APPROACH TO THE POSTION…….

  32. 32 nunya1

WHY WOULD ANYONE PAY HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL’S 145K PLUS FRINGE BENEFITS?

NO ONE CAN SUGGEST WE CAN NOT EMPLOY EDUCATORS TO TEACH FOR A FAR LOT LESS!!!

    THIS IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!!

STUDENTS SCORES HAVE NOT INCREASED…. INFACT THEY HAVE DECREASED IN OUR TOWN……

OUR SCHOOL BUILDINGS ARE FALLING APART, AND BOOKS AND SUPPLIES ARE IN THE POOREST CONDITION IN YEARS…..

THE COMMUNITY IS THREATENED EACH YEAR BY THESE SAME HIGH PRICED GOVERNMENT UNION EMPLOYEES WITH THE THREAT OF “SCHOOL CLOSING”

WE PUT “PAY FOR PLAY” SPORTS ON THE TABLE YEAR AFTER YEAR IN THIS COMMUNITY…….

WE CHARGE STUENTS TO PARK IN HIGH SCHOOL PARKING LOTS…..

WE CHARGE FEES TO WATCH OUR CHILDREN PARTICIPATE IN SPORTS AND THEATER EVENTS…..

WE HAVE NO MONEY WE HAVE NO MONEY WE HAVE NO MONEY!!!!

BUT JUST LOOK AT THE GREED REPRESENTED BY THE TEACHERS UNIONS..

THERE WAS A TIME WHEN TEACHERS TAUGHT FOR “THE LOVE OF TEACHING”….. BUT NOW THEY CAN DO BOTH….. TEACH AND RIP OFF THE COMMUNITY (WITH THE HELP OF UNION REPRESENTATION) ALL AT THE SAME TIME….

AGAIN SCORE DONT GO UP….. AND THERE IS NO ONE TO BLAME FOR THIS RIP OFF BUT THE BRAIN DEAD COMMUNITY THAT PAY TAXES..

  33. 33 jezebel282

    Nunya,

“SURPRISE!!! EACH AND EVERY PERSON ON THE LIST IS A UNION MEMBER”

Not mayor Harkins. It seems he received $21,979 above what the Charter allows.

  34. 34 nunya1

while your miopic view is worried about “CAP LOCKS”….. you should become more educated on the history of unions….. Go read about Michelle Rhee – Superitendent of schools in Washington….. Go read Governor Malloys education innitiative to OVERHAUL EDUCATION…..

Change is comming to public education… and those most concerned are UNIONS…..

You obviuosly are a UNION memeber, decerning your salary off the backs of tax payers..

Trust me… we can educate our children, protect of communities, and keep our homes from burning for a lot less that what is provided by UNION DRIVEN services..

That is the debate .. not CAPLOCKS MY FRIEND…

Please do not return unless the debate focuses on substantial issues….

    Kindly

  35. 35 nunya1

you picked 1 person (out of 100) ..the mayor, that is not union…. you depth and breath of the debate is deep… wow.. one person….. please challege me with facts not chatter……

  36. 36 jezebel282

    Nunya,

“Please do not return unless the debate focuses on substantial issues….”

    ROTFLMAO!
    Good luck with that one!

“You obviuosly are a UNION memeber, decerning your salary off the backs of tax payers..”
You are incorrect. My entire career (except for volunteering) has been in the non-union private sector.

As for “substantial” debate, vilifying members of a collective bargaining unit is not a substantial debating point.

    “not CAPLOCKS MY FRIEND…”
Courtesy: behavior marked by polished manners or respect for others.

  37. 37 jezebel282

    Nunya,

“you picked 1 person (out of 100) ..the mayor, that is not union”

You were the one who claimed “each and every”.

    Update:

After Public Safety Dispatcher Michael Nealy had his $180,047 published we find that he is no longer in the employ of the Town of Stratford. Let it be noted that Mr. Nealy put in the equivalent of almost three full time jobs in terms of hours worked in one year. By any count, that is an enormous amount of time. At the very least, it indicates a staff shortage over a very long time.

Why is this? Perhaps HR did not recruit staff in, let’s say, a vigorous manner? Or at all?

And why the sudden departure of perhaps the one person on the planet with the most on duty experience? Could the enormous amount of overtime cast doubt on the competency of, oh I don’t know, the person responsible for controlling labor costs….Ron Ing, HR Director? Just sayin’…..

  40. Odd… I was listening to the scanner this weekend and I thought I heard Mr. Nealy still dispatching. There was a female working too.

  41. 41 jezebel282

    Jim,

“There was a female working too.”

Really? They let females work there too?

  42. Yes… probably getting Mr. Nealy coffee and filling in for him when he went potty.

  43. 43 jezebel282

    LOL!

You would think that with all those hours that coffee would be infused via IV. And a urinary catheter would be standard equip…OK, never mind.

    Let’s go with your reason.

I volunteer to be Mayor & address lack of transparency &
improved management of resources & personnel, while
making sure they are fairly compensated, including working
conditions where the will be a credit to the flag they wear &
respect those the protect & serve with EQUAL PROTECTION
    of the LAW.

When listing the TOP 100 compensated from Stratford,
I wonder how many would be
    * PENSIONED?
    * BoE?
    * Attorneys

Among the top 100 if KICK BACKS & FINDERS FEES were
    included?

    – It’d be nice if A N Y O N E other than JEZE & I posted ANYTHING?
    – It’d be even nicer if A N Y O N E posted ANYTHING about PUBLIC
ISSUES rather than PERSONAL INSULTS disguised as PUBLIC
    (FULL) FIGURE attacks ….

As INSULTING as many of the BLOG POSTS have been, I’m the
ONLY ONE who mocks my WEIGHT, with rather rare exceptions.

    —-

Within my Stratford Star Letters to the Editor, I intentionally leave
back doors & side doors, even window open, suggesting many of
the local problems were manipulated into positions to ABUSE the
CONSTITUTIONAL POSITIONS of TRUST & PROFIT.

There are a lot of PARTISANS who thought I was NUTS (& they’re
not completely wrong), however they are starting to realize that
they are PART of the PROBLEM and had gone along as STANDARD
    OPERATING PROCEDURE.

People deserved to be well paid, decent benefits, & pensions or
social security, which is all ARBITRARY & SUBJECTIVE.

I respect the main job the POLICE, FIRE, TEACHERS/EDUCATION,
TOWN HALL & OTHERS DO …. not so much the Lawyers, but even
they deserve to be paid for honest work …

However, the same way the Attorney billing is like GROUND HOG
DAY, for the same ISSUES that could have been solved decades
ago, some people are simply OUT RIGHT GREEDY, SELFISH, &
    IGNORANT related to PUBLIC TREASURY.

    WALL STREET?
    Where’s the SEC?

    PENSIONS?
Where’s the FBI / STATE POLICE – JUSTICE?

Where’s the FBI / STATE POLICE – JUSTICE?

    Where’s the MILITARY / INTELLIGENCE?

    War on Crime?
    War on Drugs?
    War on War?
    War on Waste?
    War on Insider Trading?
    War on Monopoly / Oligarchy?
    War on Fascism / Statism?
War on FRAUD – non-Consumer Protection
    War on Racism?

    Booing GOD?
    Tough Crowd!

Can’t see the Forest because of the Trees?

Democrats? would create Bureaucracy & staff bi-Partisan.
Then impose a TAX increase in the Tax Code.

Republicans? would lease the Forest to allies/donations,
chop down all the trees, mine the earth, drill for oil, then
fine the abuser 1/100th of percent of the profits, as long
as the abusers kick into PACs & LOBBIES

Military? would test the Forest for weapons grade organic
toxins. If none were found, they’d defoiliate with nonorganic
& even radioactive. Then they’s send in ground forces to
manuevers, so they could test the effects on humans.

Bureaucracy? would committ EPA & DEEP to feasibility
studies of the Forest where conclusions are foregone & no
necessary work would be done, However they’d recommend
“make work” projects where donators could win rigged BIDS
with Change Order upcharge 100 %, = DONE!

Administration ? would BOND at double whatever they claimed
was justified, & get matching funds from the States & then the
Feds (inspiration for Mel Brooks = the Producers?)
Once they got the BOND Money, they’d pay off investigators
& comingle BOND MONEY to PAY PENSIONS, BENEFITS,
& dress up BUDGET & BOND RATING / ACTUARY reviews

Business? well JEZE will move me anyway, despite me being
the ONLY CIVICLY ORIENTED POSTER who actually cares
about YOU … each one of YOU … who didn’t have a clue that
the PUBLIC TREASURY isn’t a BOTTOMLESS ACCOUNT.

    That is my WAGE PREDICTION.
It’s connected to ACCOUNTS RECEIVEABLE & PAYABLE

Your post is a very good example of why so few readers respond. You are simply all over the place and no place at the same time.

The bottom line is that George has killed this blog with his insanity.

Except for major issues that crop up in the town there is nothing going on here thanks to George.

    Sorry Jez.

MR= “The bottom line is that GEORGE HAS KILLED THIS BLOG with his insanity.

I couldn’t have said it better, although I did turn up the volume for the two key points!

    3 posters: Jeze – Mike – Prof

2 of whom are relentless critics of me & write about nothing else except:
    Mike writes about Par 3
Prof wrotes about Shakespeare & not well.

Mike actually gave me a compliment once about the WICC MAYOR
    DEBATE hosted by Jim Buchanon.

Whenever one sees my post, why not scroll past it?

Why not write your own interest.

I feel it’s too bad Mike & Prof can only gripe about me and not
    comment about issues.

Chris & Portia rarely mention me.
They stick to what they want to write about.

This is a direct reply to 3 posts directly above.
Remember that when I’ve the only one moved.
    It’s OK.

    At least you posted.

  52. 52 jezebel282

    George,

“Whenever one sees my post, why not scroll past it?”

Because most screens are not that big and readers have to keep scrolling. There is no doubt that readership is down and citizens are reluctant to post anything after you’ve diverted the thread to another planet.

In one more futile attempt at an explanation, blogs are meant to be read in mere seconds. Screen after screen of your monographs are incredibly boring, irrelevant and, well, sometimes pretty weird. Generally after your first two or three lines, readers stop reading and move onto something they find interesting…..like Facebook, Twitter or other blogs that have already banned you. You simply refuse to allow a thread to continue without affixing your graffiti to it. And thus readership and anyone likely to post is down.

So when you ask about the paucity of posters, the answer can most likely be found in your mirror.
